Even with a few working bands? That's dumb. I wish only ones America would go what the rest of the world does and not always make it so it won't work. Always those stupid extras. Annoying. Just go by the standard. Just ones. Roll eyes. Lol
There are only two GSM networks in the USA (the rest is CDMA):
- AT&T: LTE band 4 (1700/2100 MHz) and band 17 (700 MHz)
- T-Mobile: LTE band 4 (1700/2100 MHz)

The C6603 only supports LTE bands 1 (2100 MHz), 3 (1800 MHz), 5 (850 MHz), 7 (2600 MHz), 8 (900 MHz) and 20 (800 MHz), so none of the North American bands.

The problem with LTE is that they had to find free frequency space in many different parts of the world (with many different frequencies already in use). The result is a huge list of different bands worldwide: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-UTRA#Frequency_bands_and_channel_bandwidths

I know about CDMA verzion and sprint for example. But does that mean my xperia z is no useless? That's dumb. I have to sell it before coming to America then. But I was thinking there are quiet a lot of Americans that like he unlocked non branded European devices. I might be able to trade it for a t mobile branded one.

The Xperia Z does not support CDMA networks. You'll also have problems connecting to 3G in the USA:
- AT&T: UMTS/HSPA 850 MHz and 1900 MHz
- T-Mobile: UMTS/HSPA 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) and 1900 MHz

The C6603 only supports UMTS/HSPA 850 MHz, 900 MHz and 2100 MHz, so only limited 3G connectivity with AT&T and no 3G with T-Mobile.
The C6602 also supports UMTS/HSPA 1700/2100 MHz and 1900 MHz.

This is from the official site of Sony Germany those are the bands.
850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE
850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE
(Band 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20)

So pretty useless then I take it? And t mobile USA C6606 says it has those 2100 1700/2100 and 1900. So meaning mine has 2100 and also 1900. And on sony USA the C6603 has those 850 900 1700 1900 2100 1800 lte 4 so I have all besides 1700 and lte 4. So it should actually work for the most parts on 4g then.

ATT gives me those 850/1900/2100 UMTS 3G. Gsm edge 850/900/1800/1900. Lte is 4 17 also 2 5. So it seems att is fully able on giving my C6603 3g 4g. And only one lte band fits. 5. So I have to get att then or straight talk or jolt or so everything that runs on att should work.

But on straight talk it says as long as it uses 850 and 1900 u keep ur t mobile 4g coverage. And it also supports all of att bands. So my C6603 should be fully working then.

Sorry for unlocked international phones it says 850 and 1900 MHz bands. I have those

Okay, one last attempt.

C6603 supported frequency bands
2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE): 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 Mhz and 1900 MHz
3G (UMTS/HSPA): 850 MHz, 900 MHz and 2100 MHz
4G (LTE): bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 20

C6603 supported mobile networks in USA
AT&T 2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE): full support (850 MHz and 1900 MHz supported)
AT&T 3G (UMTS/HSPA): partial support (850 MHz supported, 1900 MHz not supported)
AT&T 4G (LTE): no support (band 4 and 17 not supported)
T-Mobile 2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE): full support (850 MHz and 1900 MHz)
T-Mobile 3G (UMTS/HSPA): no support (1700/2100 MHz and 1900 MHz not supported)
T-Mobile 4G (LTE): no support (band 4 not supported)

I hope it's clear to you now :)

Okay, one last attempt.

C6603 supported frequency bands
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20)

So 1900 MHz isn't 1900 for both I mean gsm and UMTS?

And there again I am wondering why America has to dance out of the norm and uses different bands that are not the standard in pretty most parts in the world? Questions over questions and wondering and confused and puzzled why they always have to do it different. Annoying.

I guess flashing an either C6602 or C6606 ftf will not solve the issue I assume?

100% no. see my earlier post. the modem needs to be "enabled"...flashing the rom does not accomplish this

If the 06 and the 02 have the same specs then this should be doable. Someone needs to become a national here and get this done. Our 6002 deserve the speed

The most important thing to look at, is 'working bands' in your service menu under 'Service info' > 'Configuration'. When flashing C6603/C6606 firmware to C6602, you will have LTE in settings ('Network modes'), but as long as you don't have LTE working bands, it won't work.

I flashed my 6602 using 6603 latest build. I got in my network selection lte (prefered) yet I can't get lte. Signal my provider addressed the my mobile should support 1800 not only 2100.

Any idea.

Not sure I have a c6603 I can try it on also.but don't think it has the bands tho. Will report back soon
See that's exactly it. I ask many sources sony att t mobile and so on and everybody tells me something different tmobile and att say it should work fine on att and tmobile on there 4g network about lte they say yes and then no and I don't know I am confused now. I don't think it does work on lte. I am asking because I am in Germany currently gonna be back in the USA next month and I would hate to give the xperia z away but if lte doesn't work it does kinda sucks. But European or international phones sell good in the USA I know. I could maybe even trade it for an t mobile USA C6606?

I have a c6602 and a c6603. the c6603 only works ain att hspa + and ONLY on the 850mhz band. speed.was good but no lte. but the c6602 has the lte frequency band for tmobile here. But the lte radio(if any) is not activated. all I did was change the apn settings and bam started getting lte speeds. my c6602 was new from Craig's List. The c6603 was new from London. see if you can sell it over there and just buy the c6606 when u get here.

Does the C6603 work on tmobile USA? Yeah i could sell in Germany but I don't get much in Germany for it anymore. Normally international phones sell pretty well in the us because no branding and unlocked. But a question. Flashing and C6606 or C6602 ftf to the C6603 wouldn't make it to work on lte then I guess? How about flashing a 6602 ftf to the 6603 would it at least get full hspa +?
