I'm extremely bummed out that the 6602 doesn't support LTE. To think that 6603 has exactly the same specs.... I hope the modem could be activated soon.

sorry for the long hiatus... don't own a xperia device, so no reason to drop in

next steps if you want to know
1) do/find a proper teardown of the C6602.

my first post, remember how I said I could only find the power amplifier for 1700mhz, but not 2100mhz? Find a chip on C6602 that does 2100mhz. otherwise, you only get LTE for uploading, and HSDPA for downloading

2) dump more data.

From looking at the nexus 4 LTE hack, you'll need to find a baseband that allows LTE (probably from C6603)
Then you might need to do some build.prop hacks, some phone dialer secret menu hacks,...

http://hippowise.com/how-to-permanently-enable-lte-on-android-4-2-2-nexus-4/

Well I managed to get lte speed. check out pics. I'm n philly running stock rom on c6602. just changed apn settings.
Went from 6-7 mbs to a CONSTANT 14+mbs. Ping fluctuates and upload is slow but download is nice!
hmm... hsdpa max is 14.4mbps... could be hspa+? don't know enough details about hspa+ and backward compatibility with hsdpa phones, need to do more research

HSPA+ max speed is 42Mb/s till 56 Mb/s and LTE most probably starts after 56Mb/s

Is there a way to flash just the baseband from c6603 or do I need to flash the entire stock Rom on my phone to get it?

Is it safe to flash a C6603 Rom to a C6602?

Hmm... Maybe, but to go from a constant 5-6 to a constant 14+ is pretty good leap in speed, my opinion ofcourse. I remember reading somewhere that T-Mobile lte speeds were being capped on avg around 14-17 mbs for network stability reasons. never looked into tho so nit sure if this is true.

looks like the C6602 DOES support hspa+, max 42mbps....

so you might just be getting 3.5G ("hspa+"), not LTE. Also, some of your pictures show "H+" or "H" on the signal bar-- that signifies hspa+ or hsdpa (slower)

http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/c6602/whitepaper_EN_c6602_xperia_z.pdf

UMTS HSPA+ cat 6 (upload) Up to 5.8 Mbps
UMTS HSPA+ cat 24
(download)
Up to 42 Mbps

as I said, i don't own an xperia device... don't even read much on the xperia xda forums, you'll have to figure it out yourself

most likely you should be able to flash the baseband separately (if someone dumped the baseband from the C6603)

stuck at step 3

Hello, I "unlocked" LTE values in configuration using this tutorial

http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...ad-progress-please-leave-im-updating-t2871269
and third post in this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059

And as you can see, they appear in configuration.
Is this step further for getting LTE? I don't have way to test LTE at the moment, so if somebody else unlocks and test can write it here.
success ,but didn't work

guild same as http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...ad-progress-please-leave-im-updating-t2871269
ignore setp 3
setp 12 use device MI_05 replace MI_04
also should change driver inf file USB\VID_0FCE&PID_5146&MI_04 to USB\VID_0FCE&PID_B146&MI_05

ps lte doesn't work

I try to write m9kefs1 m9kefs2 m9kefs3 partition dump from c6603 then switch to lte the device not reboot now, but I did not have 4g sim card can not do more tests
I compared the rfnv files are different from before, try to replace it, may get lte work
