I've actually used a real world physical version of this phone, seen it in the flesh with my own eyes, and the display is washed out.
i really don't know how many more times i have to say this.
the picture on the screen might be as sharp as hell (but so it should be at that resolution), but the colours don't look great. I spent 10 minutes fiddling with the xperia z's brightness before i accepted defeat that there was no brightness setting that would make the screen not looked washed out.
At high brightness, dark colours look washed out.
at low brightness, light colours look washed out.
bizarrely enough, there is no middle ground where the colours look ok.
i've sadly cancelled my order for xperia z, and am left hoping for good things from htc m7, but we shall see.
