Xperia Z IS coming to Canada! YAY!

I spoke with three different Sony store managers in Toronto (Eatons Center), Vaughan (Vaughan Mills) and Markham (Markville Mall), while also speaking with four Rogers store representatives (three from the above stores, and one agent on the phone).

They all confirmed that the Xperia Z is coming to Canada late June of this year!

The Sony Store Manager at Eatons Center even showed me his paperwork confirming the device as "on order".

All did state that it was Rogers bringing it in, so unsure of other carriers, but without stating which carrier, all Sony Store's stated Rogers was bringing it in, so it may be a Rogers exclusive..

Now I'm debating if I should sell my xperia Z and wait for the rogers version since that way warranty problems won't be a hassle and it'll be the lte version too

late june is too late. everyone is grabbing their hands on S4 and HTC ONE. sigh.

and if it gets delayed then >.> and most mods are based on 03 and 02, i dont know will there be any errors when flashing it to 06.

2 months after launch of Z, One sony will be announced :victory:

Back to school IMO this phone will be HOT if the advertise the water/dust resistance well...

Z is not coming to Canada. ZL is.

thats why ZL (which came after Z btw) is on rogers and sonys website and not the Z.

I'm not saying I believe OP (I want to, but everything with a grain of salt with these rumours), but the ZL is already in Canada so there should be no reason for them to say it would come in 'Late June' as it's available now.

I wish I had have taken a picture (assuming he would've let me). It was listed three times, one for each colour (black white and faaaaaaaabulous)

If it's the C6603, then why am I waiting for it? Thought it would be the C6606. I guess if that's the case, I may as well just grab an import this week. It's not like the Sony Store price will be less than $650.

check yourself, cause people are waiting and potentially excited for the 6606, not the 6603, which we could have purchased a month ago...

edit: with the timing of the recent 6606 leaks, it seems likely that that was a typo... here's hoping

6603 is an LTE version, that is useless in North America. HSPA+ version aka C6602 is released in the US as of today. The 6606 aka TMO exclusive LTE will be released shortly. So it makes no sense to bring 6603 here. It will not work. If anything, Rogers should get the 6606 as it has the same chip inside as the ZL. So check it, you might remember it wrong.

If talking to frontline people - don't bother, they are ALL idiots and don't know nothing about anything.
