Re: [Xperia Z] Stock 10.1.A.1.434 Generic NL firmware

Guys I know this might b a really noob question but I read about the sudden death issue and wanted to know what is the method to revive the device?
Mine is still alive and I will wait for official update to arrive in my country! So just wanna know what to do if it dies before I get the update!

Can anybody please tell me, if there are any differences to a generic German version? No chance to find the German.Version anywhere in the web...

I notice that the "N" doesn't apear in the status bar when I turn NFC on...

Anyone with this problem?
Quite a few, yes. There's even a fix for it. Have a quick look through this thread and you'll find it. :)

Do I need the latest Flashtool to flash this? Because 0.9.10.1 doesn't allow me to choose what I want to wipe, and what not.

EDIT: yes, I do.

EDIT 2: as if the phone is working a tiny bit snappier. Notification LED still doesn't work. Walkman lockscreen widget still causes problems. Seems like a very minor update, this.

I just wanted to drop a line that rooting this build via Bin4ry's rootkit (I used v21) works indeed, it took me two attempts though. If you don't succeed rooting this build, you may reboot your phone and try again, directly after the reboot.

That's all.

what i have noticed , now its fixed that after reboot it will remember ur choice of what type of network u want to use (GSM ,WDCMA etc) because on .350 it was allways back to "preffered "mode ., and there is one more thing ,now we can choose "LTE preffered,WDCMA,GSM" . previosly on UK firmware there was no such option.

best regards
Jimmy

i have downloaded the two files however they dont show as an 'ftf' file? no option to unzip them or anything also? should there not just be one ftf file like the generic .350 one i downloaded?

I had the same problem :) just download 7zip and both files, install 7zip and right click on .001 file (bigger one) and scroll to 7zip and hit extract here, the rest is automatic!
cheers!
