lol me tooMy Xperia Z looks like the one on the right so I'm stumped lol
I've got UK version though don't know if it's any different.
It does look like a gamma calibration issue.I really love Sony, but Sony can only improve if I show them my love.
I can assure you the screen is completely washed out. Is that bad unfortunately.A matter of preference.. I reckon the Z has more natural colours. The Ion has everything too high for my taste.. Ever seen Samsung TV's on factory settings? Same thing. Colours boosted beyond natural. But again, some prefer it that way.. I like the Z's colour better om these pics, though the ion pops more out so to speak.

No, it's just you're used to over-saturated colours so when you see something thats natural it just doesn't look good enough. :good:I can assure you the screen is completely washed out. Is that bad unfortunately.
Hmmm... So blacks having a grey cast is oversaturating? Interesting. No, it's just you're used to over-saturated colours so when you see something thats natural it just doesn't look good enough. :good:
It's been said time and time again that the wallpaper did Sony no favours. Do you even have the phone or are you here just to prove some pointless argument which most of Xperia Z owners are happy with their phone?Hmmm... So blacks having a grey cast is oversaturating? Interesting.
This is not some pointless thread shooting Sony. Admittance is the first step to recovery. If there's a gamma tuning problem, Sony ought to know and fix the problem. And if it's a quality problem, Sony must know it can't repeat the mistake again. Most of us here love Sony. We want Sony have its fullest potential to destroy Samsung and Apple. If everybody keeps sweeping this issue under the carpet, this screen issue is going to come back in future Sony phones. It's been said time and time again that the wallpaper did Sony no favours. That's just my thoughts. Critics can destroy me now.![]()
I've just loaded both wallpapers on to the lockscreen on my UK sim-free Z and it really does look nothing like yours. The colours are more vivid on my device although not as saturated as on your Ion, which has it's contrast too high IMO - the colours are more realistic on my Z (eg. the colour of the sky looks like sky whereas it's too much on your Ion). This is not some pointless thread shooting Sony.
