Great info Spectre! Any chance of confirming the material for the back of the phone? It's been stated multiple times it's not glass, so... ceramic? :)

I'm hoping it's futuristic materials like transparent aluminum!! :D

Actually it's the other way around. Yuga will be sold in UK,rest of Europe, Japan, Asia, Australia, Middle East, South America, Russia. Odin is for USA, Canada and few other markets.

I sure hope that this is not the case.

I found this timeline of 2013 Xperia Devices rumoured so far from a comment on XperiaBlog. The commenter said the info was from ESATO. I assume all dates are from October.

  • 15th- Dogo - 720p Qualcomm S4 Quad Core based Q1 Xperia flagship, CES announcement
  • 15th- C650X/Odin - 1080p 5 inch Q2 Flagship with Qualcomm S4 Quad Core and 2GB RAM.
  • 15th- C660X/Yuga - Same specs as Odin, MWC reveal.
  • 15th- Q3-Q4 2013 Sony flagship to come with Full HD OLED screen
  • 15th- 6 inch phone/tablet hybrid Xperia to arrive in Q2, same specs as Odin/Yuga
  • 15th- C150X - MSM7227A based HVGA screen budget device
  • 15th- C160X - Similar handset as C150X, both might be ODM devices.
  • 15th- Honami codename leaked
  • 15th- Togari codename leaked
  • 15th- Gaga codename leaked
  • 16th- Nexus Xperia X pic leaked, proved to be fake. But apparently there does exist the Xperia Nexus.
  • 23rd- Xperia E and Xperia E dual leaked. Both run Android 4.0.4, feature HVGA screens and same chipset as Tipo.
  • 31st- Sony C210X leaked. FWVGA resolution, 1 ghz CPU. Expected to be lower mid range device. On screen buttons

And XperiaBlog also revealed a benchmark for a mid-range Xperia touting similar hardware to the Xperia T. Times are changing.

Well from the documents I saw it said dragon glass with front and back shatter proof film. And from the hands on my contact had he said it was glass front and back.

That is actually the best possible answer I could hope to get. Given what we've seen of the Active that also uses dragontrail glass, can we assume that Yuga will also be drop proof to some degree?

Now the latest rumors suggest that Yuga will come with a larger battery that could go up to 3000mAh.
Every day another rumor that contradicts with previous rumors.

Oh the joy of speculation. Guess we'll wait and see what Sony reveals when they officially reveal.

Or when the next big rumour comes down.

The guys at Google already had their hands on them. Was at a session with some Google developers today at Devoxx (Java conference) and they said they had a while to play with the Yuga/Odin. They said they were blown away, they haven't seen anything better.

If Sony can release these before the competition they've got an absolute winner on their hands. This could be 2013's legendary superphone, like the Galaxy S2 in 2011 and the S3 in 2012.

Before we get "but iphone 5 and s3 will be old news by then" replies, I think the spirit of the message is that they will be able to compete the the iphone 5's and s3's of TOMORROW. Ie, hardware that is competitive at release point, not just announcement. Great news, I wanna stay in Sony's corner.

The TL just got released on AT&T. That would mean 2 phones in 3 to 4 months.
Hard to believe that AT&T will do that.
Revealing at CES != releasing anytime soon. They showed off phones last year at CES that did not release until much, much later in the year...
