What can you say about battery life? The 6000 mAh worry me
I bought the tablet two days ago and I have had no time to stress test it, sorry. But yeah, it definitely drains faster than the Ipad 2 when in use.

Stamina mode works great on standby and the battery does not drain much overnight. Battery leakage during deep sleep was the bane of many Android devices.

Charging takes forever and a day. My unit came with 50% battery and it took ages to reach 100%. I am wondering if there are thermal limits on recharging speed since it makes no sense for Sony not to provide a higher charging plug otherwise. Bundled charger is rated for 5V and 1500mAh. I have a couple 2A chargers I might try one of these days and report back.

I am probably going to buy the magnetic docking (not magnetic charging) charging dock next week. That should take care of any batteriy issues since you do not have to plug anything, just rest the tablet on it instead of flat on a table.

I had the same problems with the touchscreen when I first got the tablet. The lockscreen didn't respond, mostly when flat on a desk, but it also did it in general use. But that was just for the first few days and since then it's been totally fine and I've had no problems with it. I don't know if it just sorted itself out, but the only other thing i did was to switch off the double tap to wake up feature, as I thought it may use up the battery up. Since then it's been okay. That may just be a coincidence and it may have had nothing to do with it suddenly working, but I just thought I would mention it so other people can try switching it off and see if it has any effect.

Will you try installing that multi-touch app and see whether it registers your 10 fingers and when you move your fingers around?

I installed the app and it registers 10 fingers and stays 10 fingers most of the time when moving them around, sometimes going to 9, but I think that could be a finger going onto the bezel as it's hard to tell where the screen ends and the bezel begins when moving all my fingers around at the same time.

Just got my Xperia Z2 tablet today and I have a question - do any of You also see faint diagonal lines running on the screen? It's mostly visible on white backgrounds and disappears while viewing the screen head-on. Just wondering if this is the digitizer or is my unit faulty?

Yes, think it's a "side effect" of IPS panels as the Xperia Tablet S also suffered the same, as a variety of other devices with IPS display's I have.

Yes, I've noticed them as well but try to ignore them.

As you can see in this video that Galaxy Tab Pro doesn't have the issue when you move your fingers around yet the Z2 Tablet has the issue.
So is it the same like in this video? cause I am planning on getting this end of the April. I hope it's an issue of the software and they'll push a software to fix this issue.

I downloaded the Application and did the same as the guy in the video. I didn't have that problem with mine. So maybe not every Z2 Tablet is affected ?!?

Had mine for a few days now, compared to my old Asus TF700 this thing is perfect! Very smooth, light and the screen is isane. Everything has been buttery smooth so fare, no issues what so ever. My only dislike so fare is the integrated POP mail app, I dont like how it stores a local copy of all the emails and dont stay synced with the online mailbox. Aside from that, nothing but good things :)
Download K9 from the store, its a great mail client.

There's an issue with the Xperia Live Wallpaper. With it active, the homescreen micro lags, but then again, it also happens on my Z Ultra so evidently a wallpaper issue.

With a static wallpaper there is a noticeable difference in the operation of the device. Pinch to zoom in Chrome is perfect, I experience micro lags with animations on the Z which aren't apparent on the Z2.

Early indications on the battery life are positive and GTA SA plays flawlessly on full settings with the Z2, but it stutters immensely on the Z.

The design feels even more premium in the hand. Sony has rounded off the edges slightly and given it's weight and thickness, is alot more comfortable to hold for long durations.

Software feels well rounded. There are a few tweaks such as the separate notification tray and quick settings that make it feel more like a tablet (rather than the ugly tray on the Z from 4.2.2+), you can now "Cose All" from the recent apps tray, with multiple small apps open there is an additional option called "Grid" which positions them randomly on the screen, smart back light control and noise cancellation, plus the new lockscreen. Swipe up from the home button there is now "What New" alongside Google Now which is a well designed app which gives you top music, video, apps and games.

The additional of the vibrator for haptic feedback is also pleasing.

Huge improvement with the camera too.
How would you be able to disable the "what's new" which is alongside Google now when you slide up from the home button? I don't have the tablet but I don't like the idea of that option.

I'm not sure if you can, as I don't have the device, but you SHOULD be able to go to Settings, Apps, All and disable it.

It's here to stay. The app can't be disabled so you would need root to remove it.

Great tablet! I was really worried about the battery life prior to purchase. I got the international version yesterday morning. The first day I left all special settings off and it sucked battery bad! Today I enabled the "stamina mode", that really made a difference. This makes me slightly uneasy about rooting and installing a pure AOSP, but excited nonetheless. The display's resolution is more than adequate.

There is absolutely no reason to install AOSP on this device. With root, Xposed and TB you can customize it to your liking (only AOSP quick settings tiles don't work via Xposed; on the Tablet Z with Android 4.3 that was possible - but c'mon, that's not so important). And with stock ROM you retain all functionality Sony built in.
