So the Z2 has been delivered and I've had a day and night of playing with it. I'm very impressed!
It's very fast and smooth, my earlier fears of launcher performance are gone. It feels a little creaky and fragile in places but I guess that's the trade off for the insane thinness and super lightweight.

The IR feature is surprisingly good and useful. The Sony keyboard is great too, I like the mini and thumb options. The bezel size isn't so bad either, a little large but not THAT bad. It looks worse in the pictures than in the flesh.

Now for the negatives. The device really does attract finger prints, on both sides. That doesn't normally bother me but it's really bad with this thing. At least it's water proof so you can wipe it down easy. Another thing, I don't see those flaps covering the ports lasting very long if you are opening and closing frequently. I will definitely look to get the charger stand to give the ports a little relief.

I have a little bit of the screen response problem. It's not bad enough for me to send it back but I hope it's addressed in the future. (I'm on the Lte model and have the latest update)

All in all its great, this might be the first Android device where I stick with the factory rom which is exactly what I was looking for so I'm happy.

One question, the PlayStation Store app is completely empty. Is it like that for others or just me? Are they getting it ready for something big?

You need to login in order to see the games ;)

I want give my two cents about this device. I tested one unit at the store this morning and was not impressed with the performance, tested a second unit (this time with lte) and it was blazing fast; just like I expected it to be.

Decided to buy the one with wife and I'm almost finished setting it up. So far I have absolutely NOTHING to complain about, the screen is responding all the time and the bezel is also fine. After the tf700 I finally have a tablet that performs like I want it to. I am very happy with this device.

I have touch problems aswell and to me its alarming that some people with .55 version (LTE) still has these problems.

I also have the creaking noise, when pressing the tablet on all sides but mostly on the right, short end of the tablet.

So, bitterly disappointed with no multi user support on the LTE version.. Apart from that all is going great guns, very responsive (apart from the screen touch, hopefully they can tweak that in a software update). The virtual surround is amazing!

Wifi only version has multi account support but lte version dont due to possible problems with GSM accounts used by multiple users. At least thats what I read somewhere.

Might be - but what's so difficult in programming the firmware so that only the primary user can access LTE functionality, while for other users it's just a "WiFi only" tablet? I don't get that.

Here's my thoughts after 3 days of ownership.

The Best:

Network share mounting built-in. This is one of the top selling point IMHO.

.
Do you think you can elaborate what you mean by this? I think I understand what it is but I dont think I have found it in the tablet yet (been looking for it tho). Would be nice with some pointers if you have time ;).

Thanks

Got my Z2 and love it. Touch sensitivity doesn't seem too bad on mine.
No idea about battery as have only had it 24 hours and just fully charged it for the first time.
Shame the camera is ****....

Touch sensitivity is bad here. Not sure what the problem is. Still love it but I need that fixed. Is this something we should return for a replacement or r it's software related?

I bought mine from Sony. Returned it today and the reason was the touch problems. Im getting a replacement tho. However I do think its related to software but now I get to play with the new for another 30 days before I decide if I want to keep it or not. Hopefully Sony have sorted the problems with the touch by then... Otherwise I will have to return that one too.

I just got mine 3 days ago so I'll play with it bit longer. I love this thing so I'm most likely not returning it but I still want it fixed lol. If I do return it would be to get a replacement.

I dont have problems with touch sensitivity so I guess its hardware related. Some devices are maybe faulty. If it was software everybody would have same problems.

I'm wondering if it is hardware, but then why are Sony releasing firmware updates to try fix it.
Not actually sure..
