Hi there, thank you for sharing the mod. It is much needed feature for me now since a long time.
I just downgraded my OP7TPro to OOS10 and now want to install this AOD mod. I have rooted my phone successfully and installed Magisk.
I installed Riruv26 and when I am trying to install Riru-Edxposed through Magisk, it is giving me error to install Riru-Core.
I am stuck in this since two days now and do not know what to do. I have read all 20 pages and nothing helped me unfortunately. Also searched on the other websites, installed older versions or Riru but no use. I am getting the same error.
Could you please redirect me to the files along with their versions to be installed in order for this MOD to work or share the files with me.
Thank you
I am now stuck at the same point when trying to install EdXposed. It just automatically takes me to the github page when I attempt to flash EdXposed from within the Magisk Manager...

I found a solution finally after searching a lot on google.
There is a thread in oneplus forum where I found the solution. I am attaching all the files.
1. Flash taichi module through magisk.
2. Flash latest riru through magisk.
3. Reboot.
4. Install taichi apk.
5. Install OPAoDMod-Fixed file.
6. Open taichi and hook+enable OPAodMod apk. Give all desired permissions.
7. There is some recent message where I could find how to enable system UI in Taichi. Follow it.
8. Reboot.
9. Open OPAodMod apk and see if all checks are Green.
10. Install latest OPAodMod Apk from first page.

Make sure you don't have system apps hidden via the filters in the menu of that screen
Ahh... that did the trick! You may want to add that little tip along with LSposed installation instruction to the OP to help others. Thank you again for this tip and for building simply the best AOD mod for OOS! I'm absolutely thrilled it continues to work on my aged yet still capable OP5. 🙌🏽

Can you please share the steps you followed. Its not working for me when I used LSposed. It says Module is not able to be hooked.
Edit: I found the solution thank you. The MOD is working now.
It looks like fingerprint animation is always active and when we unlock, it gives a bit of glitch.
Also, is there anyway to show battery% on AOD?

I had this mod working in OOS 10 with LSPosed but had to downgrade to OOS 9 for various reasons. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get this mod working now. Other than trying EdXoosed, have any suggestions? SystemUI is selected to be hooked.

Ok here is what I did. Installed latest Riru, installed latest Riru Lsposed, installed opaodmod and rebooted.
Then I opened lsposed and enabled this module inside it.
In the LSposed, I selected system ui, system framework and ambient display as well. Then opened opaodmod and restarted it.
It gave me same window saying aodmod was just restarted and later turned to green after 5 mins.

I followed your steps exactly and it is still not hooking/working on OOS 9, sadly. This mod is working on OOS 10.

Device: OnePlus 5

Oh sorry then I do not know what to do, probably try older versions I attached in previous post?
Great suggestion! I am able to get the mod working using the older 3.1.2-KQ version. However, only the Word clock style shows regardless of the clock style I choose. We are getting closer! Older versions produce the same result. Have any other suggestions?

I uninstalled LSposed and installed EdXposed instead with the exact same results. On OOS 9, version 3.1.2 and previous versions show only the Word clock regardless of the style selected. Newer versions don't seem to hook properly therefore AOD is never displayed. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Then I am afraid I dont know what to do. Probably you can also try Taichi method I posted above which worked for me.
Regardless of which method I used, I was able to use the mod but it was draining a lot of battery so I have removed it.

No worries, my friend. Using Taichi produces the same results as I posted above. Only v3.1.2 and older versions work but only displays the Word clock which I don't like. There's obviously some conflicts with OOS 9 somewhere as these issues do not appear with OOS 10. For a number of reasons, I've decided to move onto a custom A11 ROM which has it's own AOD.

Thanks again for offering your assistance with this awesome AOD mod.

On the other hand, the same thing happened to me when I didnt keep the mod in memory. So I started keeping it locked in the memory and it worked fine. Please give it a try. :)

OPAodMod is an Xposed module that provides OnePlus devices on OxygenOS and HydrogenOS with an always on display like that on the Pixels (and other devices). It's existed for a while, but in the last few months stopped working due to the main developer (RetroX) moving on to another device. I picked it up, and after initially providing modded versions with only fixes and simple additions, was kindly given access to the full source code. OPAodMod has now been fully translated, with a new GUI which is easier to use.

    Features:
    • Always on display, which runs all the time - unlike the OnePlus version
    • Customisable layout, with options including seven themes, including Pixel and OnePlus (OnePlus supports all the system clock styles too), and a DVD screensaver (it's exactly what you think it is)
    • Notification display, showing the text of a notification when you receive it and dropping back to just an icon after a few seconds
    • Live music lyrics on supported themes
    • Battery Optimisation options such as forcing doze and setting the refresh rate to 60Hz when the AoD is showing
    • Option to only display when you 'raise' your phone
    • Option to hide the screen when flipped/in your pocket, disable it overnight, or after a time period (10 minutes or 15 seconds)
    • Show your next alarm, current weather, and currently playing music
    • Display a short message (like that on your lockscreen)
    • Full settings GUI for the module with a live preview of your clock
    • Quick Settings toggle to enable/disable the AoD
    • Support for Ambient Music Mod for displaying ambient Now Playing tracks on the AoD

    Installation Guide:
    - Install Riru Core in Magisk
    - Install either EdXposed Canary (recommended - Canary may need to be downloaded from the EdXposed app after installing) or TaiChi from Magisk
    - Install the module APK
    - Enable the module in EdXposed or TaiChi
    - Follow the Required Setup in the app
    - Reboot your device
    - Check the AoD is working and set it up how you like

    Download:
    Version 3.3
    11
Version 3.1 is now available in the first post
    Changelog said:
Added two new themes: Pixel and OnePlus. OnePlus theme supports all the current OnePlus Ambient Display clocks
Added battery optimisation options, including reducing the frame rate, forcing doze mode and enabling battery saver
    Fixed auto brightness
Added bullet point divider option to new settings UI
Added option to hide the divider on the default theme
Added two new weather icon styles: Pixel and OnePlus (emoji is still there for now)
Fixed crash when clicking the weather option in settings when weather app isn't installed
Fixed current weather setting breaking when switching between screens
Improved settings to only show settings relevant to the current theme
Improved settings preview to adapt to the current screen, showing weather and music on those respective screens
Added AoD toggle to main screen to turn it off entirely, and a quick settings toggle to do the same
Fixed AoD showing notifications when they arrive when the device's proximity sensor senses it's in a pocket/upside down
Fixed lyrics when using System music listener
Fixed & in lyrics, translated some text
Added some translations to missed UI elements
Removed hardcoded volume steps to use the system provided date instead
Screenshots of the new themes and the QS tile are also in the first post

Please remember to reboot after updating for the module to work correctly!

Bugfix release 3.1.1 is now also released, fixes a crash with the OnePlus clock style on some devices.
    7
I dont know why, but it consumes like 5-6% per hour on stock settings. Which settings are good for low bat usage? I deactivated the notifications, music, weather and clock synchro is on system broadcast.

    3.01b Oneplus 7 Pro

Wait until the next update in a few days, it has options that will reduce the drain

Are you still working on this?

Got other stuff going on at the moment but will be back working on it soon™️
