:( It doesn't work with my phone.
Lemax x820.
Why would it, at least at the current stage of development?
LeECO's EUI is one of the ROMs farthest from AOSP, therefore it's like saying that the car is not standing on top of the water.

You should try grabbing a log instead, and sending it to the developer, along with a feature request to support EUI, and hope that he/she will comply with it.

Say does this module change the color of the text next to the icons? If it does how can I get it to work. I would like to get mine to look like the one in the video. My default colors are white background and black text next to the icons.

Thanks in advance.

Spent a lifetime searching for this.. I once saw it in temasek cm13 no way i could trace it
Thanks ??working for me on unofficial cm13.
Could you please add an option to change colors to individual icons and all the switches In Settings.apk.
What to expect from the pro version

Will you be updating this to support nougat?

Yes please, since a lot of people will update to nougat, now that Xposed is released, this would be great :good:

Last time I looked into it there were quite a lot of changes in the source code of Settings compared to Lollipop, so it's definitely going to take me a bit to update it.
I'm studying at university right now so I don't have that much free time, but I might try to do it in my spare time.

If there are any developers that want to do it or help me with it, of course that would be great too. I can share the source code in that case.

Edit: I looked into it a bit more and it should definitely be doable. It will probably take me a bit to fully update the app though.

Just updated my phone to Stock Nougat and added Xposed. Set-up is running great with Gravity Box and other modules.

I am looking forward to Settings Editor getting an update to support Nougat.

Thanks,

Any news? :)
So far I've got the basics working, Settings Editor is detecting the settings and you can edit the settings. This weekend (if I have time) I will be working on the layout modifications and edit the GUI based on the options that are no longer available (fragments, columns, ...?). I also still have to find a way to make the same modifications to the drawer (the menu on the left you can slide open when you're on a subpage), but I might release a beta before that.

I just released a beta (just the free version for now) on this forum thread and the Xposed Repo. Feel free to try it out and give me feedback if there are any problems (or if there aren't), and I will release a official updated version ASAP. It has been tested by me on Android 6.0.0 (for backwards compatibility), 7.0.0, 7.1.0 (all AOSP) and 7.1.2 (LineageOS), but I might still have missed some things or there might be problems with custom roms or certain phone manufacturers. If there are any bugs, please use this link (https://wilco375.com/settingseditorsupport/) which guides you through uploading all the files I need to figure out what's going wrong.

Working on my Samsung J5 on LP 5.1.1
it would be great if i could sort items in Settings.
and how should i know a setting fragments codes? any tutorials?

nice work tho. its good too if you can add ability to hide some sub settings so that its not visible to everyone

I've been looking for something like this for a while, fantastic work. As previously mentioned a drag and drop would be nice or at least an option to sort menu options. Also, and I understand this is a beta, the UI could be a little more intuitive. I would also like to suggest that apps are sorted alphabetically rather than by package name.

    In regards to the UI:
For example for remove, it would be nice if it listed the existing options to remove.

    Example for sorting:
In settings under System, I would like to move About phone all the way to the bottom and move System UI tuner above Xposed Installer.

    Pretty good! Works here.

    Ideias:
    As mentioned, a drag and drop list would be usefull;
    The removal of options should have a list;
Would be really cool to have the option to hide the corresponding app icon from launcher.

    Hi,

Immediately bought this as it is amazing!

-As some other users said it would be nice to change the order of items in settings.

-Is there a way to bring a submenu of a setting, let's say: "tethering & hotspot", to the highest level?

-Can we have some more info about "Settings Fragment to launch' please?

Works pretty flawlessly. A bit cumbersome in terms of usability (no drag&drop, as a result items get removed by adding their names feels kind of weird).
Can you add a feature to reorder the elements? Still missing that.
In summary it can be said this is an awesome and handsome app to easily edit preferences menu, and because it's still beta I expect some more useful features to come around soon. Quite thankful for it and getting pro next version :good:

Thanks for all the feedback! As I can see this app is received very well, so I'll definitely continue developing it! The next step would definitely be drag & drop functionality and thus also the ability to reorder settings. I'm still busy with school, but I have holidays now, so expect there to be a major update within two weeks if everything goes right!
