I was having issues with stock Nougat rebooting, crashing and not being able to pass the SafetyNet. I was using three modules on Xposed. I was using YouTube adaway, gravitybox and YouTube background playback.

Once I uninstalled the modules and uninstalled Xposed..... The stock Nougat was running fast and smooth. I didn't know how much Xposed was affecting the ROMs performance.

Has anyone expience the same issue with Xposed on stock Nougat?

I agree big time unfortunately. I had those three (and others) modules installed and it would reboot at least once a day. I found out that Youtube Background Playback was crashing Youtube at startup so I removed it completely. Also, I've found that the only version of Xposed that doesn't cause the crashes is 89.1. So I've remained steady there, despite the newest being 89.3 (I haven't tried 90 yet). Hope this helps.

Since I wasn't using many modules I found a YouTube replacement and I can live without Gravitybox. I am using YouTube Vanced for rooted device and it's does the same thing no ads and background playback.

I was using version 89, but don't remember if it had .3. I used the installer to pick the latest one. All I know is that the ROM has improved in performance. I like the mods from Gravitybox, but I don't want to sacrifice performance.

YouTube was crashing at start up, but it was version 2.04. There is a 2.05 version, but you have to get it from the repo source, because it's not on the XDA thread. Once I installed version 2.05 YouTube was not crashing.

Besides not rebooting, Do you think you are loosing some performance on 89.3? Is there a way to pass the SafetyNet with Xposed?

I used this previously and stopped. It was slow to catch up with official youtube updates, and honestly, didn't work correctly. That was ~6 months ago, so maybe it's better now?

If you used Magisk to install Xposed, it was likely 89.3. I agree that GravityBox is awesome, but does seem to suck speed and battery. I feel the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

No of course not. Was passing SafetyNet good for anything other than NFC Pay apps? If not, the G4 doesn't have NFC so it doesn't matter!
