Yes I am hoping that he got it working because he didn't come back and usually that's how it goes on Xda get an run

Nah, I hadn't gone anywhere... I got sidetracked in between other tasks trying to get this to work, but to no avail unfortunately.

I actually had tried using my SD card #9C33-6BBD at first as well and it still didn't work.
This is my s10 lite phone Android 11 notice sdcard number is different. You need to make sure each app has storage permissions. But that's the best I can do

Thank you... Maybe you might have better luck than me w/ your S10 Lite. At least it could help me understand what I might've overlooked.
Well you might need to help me understand what it is inside the app your hoping to save to the external sdcard? I'm seeing lot of options but I don't see anything that would ask for a download folder. Are you trying to save the game itself on the sdcard? Because if so you have to use Apps2sd pro and a partitiohed sdcard and link the app to sdcard. Xinternalsd takes the download location for files and moves it to the sdcard if it's setup right.

I'm aware that Apps2SD will allow for me to install apks onto a partitioned microSD card which was not my intent. I have my games (roms) stored in a folder labeled "ROMS" on the root of my microSD card and it is compartmentalized for each different game console according its respective core needed to run the game. Unfortunately, RetroArch will ONLY allow me access to internal storage, not external which happens to be my microSD card. I am needing to gain access to my games stored on my microSD card through the app.

Ok I got it to work it took a minute to figure out. You have to go into Lsposed app and unhide games in xinternalsd and find RetroArch. You need to select it and than select it in xinternalsd app, and than reboot after rebooting it should automatically switch you to ext sd card

That freaking worked, if only I had thought of unhiding games to do the trick. I'm currently lmao at myself b/c it was just that simple of a fix. Thanks again.

Don't feel bad I didn't think of either. I don't like how with lsposed you have to click every app individually with Edxposed you just enabled the module
