Hello Internet,
I'm owner of XT1032 Motorola Moto G (1st. edition) bought in retail distributor in Poland. About 2 months ago, my phone landed in water for few secs. It didn't work after drying in rice, so I took it to service that does warranty repairs in PL. They denied repair (they can't do non-warranty repairs). So, I tooked it to one of these "general" repair service company. Because of few problems on the way (won't explain it, not technical matter) I ended up with a partially-fixed phone. They did all mechanical stuff inside, so phone turned on, but after that it showed dozens of "App X doesn't respond" notifications, making in useless for everyday operation.
I thought - I'll just make hard resed. I wasn't able to do it from settings, so I entered BL, clicked recovery and... unable to boot. OK then, I said, let's erase it via fastboot. I downloaded a matching (XT1032 4.3 EU Retail) firmware and unlocked my BL (since I didn't have warranty anymore). It's worth pointing out that I used Lollipop before the accident. I tried to use "flashall" script, but I was stuck at gpt and motoboot flash. I read that it's normal in case of downgrade so I performed sequence from the script by flashing/erasing/checking everything manually/separetly skiping these two. No problems flashing, everything OK.
Then I reboot and... I still had 5.0 JB with my pre-accident apps and with metioned "doesn't respond" problem. I did erased userdata, cache partitions before, so HOW IT'S POSSIBLE. Fastboot and BL on-screen log showed no errors. I gave it a second try with erasing even system, boot before reflash. I must say that this erasing with no errors is accually unusually short:
Best regards,
Matt
P.S. I'm running newest SDK avabilave from Google webside. I do have the "Motorola Device Menager" installed. I downloaded the FW: fastboot_falcon_reteu_user_4.3_14.1

Same with TWRP flash (I wanted to check if it's wipe capability will do the job) - I flashed it, "OK", and... stock recovery. But for eg. system flash takes about 30-45sec, whith I consider normal. Only visable error I get is when I try to do a factory reset in stock recovery (it started to work after 1st flash):erasing 'userdata'...
OKAY [ 0.063s]
finished. total time: 0.063s
erasing 'system'...
(bootloader) Erase allowed in unlocked state
OKAY [ 0.063s]
Only clue I got... So, my quescion obviously is - what can I do now to be able to use this phone on a daily basis. Sorry for long explanation and possible grammar/vocabulary mistakes (not native). Thank you very much everyone who'll bother to read this stuff.Wiping data...
