One other quick thing that I've noticed is that "driving mode" doesn't seem to engage anymore. I'll have to look into that more closely though.

It most likely will lead to a failure of SafetyNet. If you plan to install Magisk, the Xposed Framework, A.R.I.S.E. audio, or anything else that modifies the system, don't plan on using any software that requires passage of SafetyNet.

This very board isn't a bad place to start. There shouldn't be any "performance problems," but if you do run into issues, there's plenty of knowledgeable folks here who can help out. Did you hard reset after installing the N update?

Time will tell.

I just replaced the whole video with the Yeti.
Yes I did the reset when I originally installed. Worked fine for a while, but now my Moto X simply locks up on occasion and reboots. Probably need to hard restart again and see if a clean rebuild fixes my problems.

Curious if anyone else got the System Version 25.201.1 update notice and installation? This came up earlier today before I went to town and included about 10MB of security updates (supposedly including the Oct 1st patch level).

Not exactly sure what this update fixed, but curious if this was because my installation build was NPH25.200-22 I installed back in October and has been upgraded to NPHS25.200-22-1. What does this update include and is it just missing security patches that were released in NPH25.200-23 and released late last month when Nougat was pushed to everyone? Thanks as always for the input! Sorli...

There is another thread on the update, it appears to be a simple patch for the KRACK WiFi vulnerability.

Thanks again for the heads up and I also did a clean reset last night. Things are moving much smoother and without errors and previous hang-ups. Thanks everyone for the suggestion, rebuild was time consuming without root and TB, but it was worth while. Sorli...

Update - this update is quite astounding and my rebuild and completely purged Moto X Pure system now provides a battery that has lasted all day and still has 50% power.

Wow...Nougat update rocks!

Interesting... That could mean updates are done. If system storage use drops significantly it means the manufacturer if done updating the device and it's giving you it's reserved update space back. Hmm...
Wouldn't surprise me one bit. Was surprised to see a security update after nougat release TBH. Considering the phone is now over 2 years old, it is past the support stage.

However it is still listed to get security updates and I have noticed no change in reserved storage on my Pure running .23 with the recent security update applied.

Meanwhile, my Moto X Pure 2015 was replaced by a new Xiaomi Mi A1, and today I just got Android Oreo with December security updated.
Our second Moto X Pure 2015 was replace by a Samsung Note 8, due to repeated battery and charging issues.
Our Moto G4 plus was replaced by a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 due to charging issues.
Non of the Moto Xs ever got Nougat.
Bye Bye Motorola, will never ever buy one of your devices again, you are a joke.
