I'd really like to know if it works for anyone else because I've never heard of it myself. Another thing that might also be related is, my phone came with a clear silicone case that had some numbers and MAN-S printed on it. I think it stands for manufacturer sample.
If works for me, I tried it with retail on a couple different Moto's. I was nervous so I skipped a couple things, modem, gpt, bootloader, dsp. It worked on every one I tried. Except for the e4 cause nothing works on that gremlin. It's like a bridge troll that won't let anyone pass.

I have the Verizon version xt1922-6.
I wonder if this will work on it?
Of course, the bootloader is locked on it being a Verizon phone so I'm not sure if it will flash.

I would definitely try it if I had a locked variant. No one has that I know of. The worst that'll happen is it'll refuse to flash. The best thing that could happen is, it'll flash and allow the bootloader to be unlocked afterwards. By the way, would you mind sending me your unlock data? It won't give me any personal information and it'll help me reverse engineer the unlock process. All you have to do is toggle oem unlock in the developer settings, reboot to fastboot, and enter the command fastboot oem get_unlock_data. It should return a string of information. If I get enough of these from other locked phones I can start making progress.

Should I flash the retail version?
If so, do you have the link to it?
I looked for it in lolinet but all I saw under retail was 8.0 Oreo and no 9.0 Pie.

Also, my laptop is down right now so I am not able to use the fastboot method otherwise I'd be willing to help you out.
I plan to put the rom in my internal storage and do it as a software update through system update in settings.

I'd use RETUS if you're in the US. Use Aljeter RETAIL or Aljeter RETEU if you're anywhere else. This is the most recent RETUS available. Link. You won't be able to flash any firmware from storage like that. You'll have to use fastboot. There's no way around it. Only OTAs can be installed from storage, and your phone will refuse any that aren't signed by Verizon.

Okay thanks.
I will have to wait until my laptop is back up and running to try this.
Btw, what is the difference between Aljeter and jeter stock roms?

Same here. I tried it a little while ago. I just can't update my profile or PRL on it, but LTE did work.
Thanks @Spaceminer , @kwiksi1ver and @Starkiller2

I eventually flashed my XT1922-7 (Boost, Colored boxed, clear case with MAN1) and made it works for T-Mobile VOLTE (no VOLTE menu but stay as LTE when answering phone call) and Wifi-Calling. It also let me get Sprint LTE when I put Sprint card in it. I am quite happy  :D with the results given previously this phone with non-VOLTE rom will not work when Tmo shutdown their 3G network.

I have questions on what should be flashed because I only did the followings JETER_RETUS_9.0_PPPS29.118-68-9 files:

- - flashed by commands - -
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash oem oem.img
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
- - not flashed because not work/need as mentioned in this Thread - -
Code:
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
I did not do these command as indicated in the servicefile.xml / TWRP/root guide:
Code:
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
fastboot erase DDR
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
Should I perform those RETUS file flash to modem, fsq and dsp, and erase those modemst1 ? I worry it will killed the Modem/IMEI, is it better to leave these command untouch?

Thanks a lot.

How did you get your xt1922-7 sim unlocked? I have the xt1922-7 and xt1922-9 and am curious to try this. Volte works great on the xt2922-9, even on gsi. Would love to get volte working on the xt1922-7.
