Yeap , you're right . Same March security patch .
Edit : Maybe it's just a feeling but it seems this update bring some improvements and new Motorola (Notifications such as app) apps even it's still March update . I guess it's a little bit fluid , faster and better battery save .

Hi. I have tried to make the guide a bit clearer now. I hope it helps. You can send me a DM if you need /want more assistance.

Update with magisk root.
I've done this a couple of times now during the monthly updates so I've changed a few details in this new "guide" compared to the one in your link.

1/ Extract firmware zip in your fastboot folder and copy boot.img to your phone, then remove boot.img from the folder with the recently extracted firmware.
(We don't wan't to flash stock boot.img with fastboot)
2/ Open Magisk Manager on your phone, choose install --> install --> select and patch a file.
3/ Browse to your recently copied boot.img and select it for patching. You'll find the patched img in download folder when it's done.
4/ On your PC, replace vbmeta.img in the folder with the recently extracted firmware, with the vbmeta.img from the twrp zip.
Also copy the "Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt.zip" from twrp zip to your phone.
5/ flash firmware with .bat file or manual commands. Remember not to wipe anything while flashing.
(You will get an error "no such file" for boot.img since we don't flash it with fastboot.)
6/ Once it's finished flashing all the files you'll need to boot TWRP. (fastboot boot TWRP-3.3.1_Motorola_One_Vision.img)
7/ In TWRP -> Install -> Install image -> Browse to the patched boot.img in download folder and flash it to boot partition.
8/ Flash the Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt.zip.
9/ DONE! Reboot to system and enjoy the update without loosing root or data.

It's still a good idea to make a backup of your most important data before proceeding.
I once forgot to flash the Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt.zip and I had no other option but to factory reset since the device had encryption enabled during boot.

I have no idea if this works from PIE to Android 10 since I did Android 10 update as a clean flash with everything wiped to avoid any bugs due to update.
It's never a bad idea to start fresh with a new android version.

I have followed the instructions in point 6, and it has not worked for me, maybe I have done it wrong, I think not.
I have not known how to continue.

To avoid a brick, I have had to do a full flash of the new firmware and start from the beginning with rooting, xposed, etc.

I think this method doesn't work, at least with Android 10

This is from retbr update channel but I believe it's same files as used for retail.

If I remember correctly, "XT1970-3_KANE_DS_10_QSA30.62-30" is reteu March patch.
