So.. As I said before - I have the same, but the working XT925. I downgrade it to 4.1.2 (via RSD with the removal of three lines from xml), then downloaded the OTA 4.4.2 (98.22.1601002.XT925.O2.en.DE) and copied it from the folder "root\cache" to PC. Then unrar the zip and extract gpt and tz. Now these files accurately from a firmware that was until the phone briked.
But again the same error:

Somebody or if you have a second xt925,must be on 4.1.2 and catch OTA.

Well, I already caught OTA 4.4.2 and test it today.

So you are saying you flashed. 4.4.2 gpt and tz to the bricked phone, right?

I tried to flash the gpt and tz from 4.4.2 to the bricked phone, but unsuccessfully.

Please try windows sdk to flash just in case. What error are you getting? I will closely look at the prob this weekend. Feel free to pm or email.

sorry man, but what does the phone shows as error without flashing anything?
seems the pro may not be gpt and tz..
and did you try flashing with windows sdk? instead of mfastboot?

Worth trying one from 4.4 2
Make sure mfastboot is the latest, and if possible Uninstall MoTo drivers, reboot, reinstall in case they are somehow corrupted.

Also once restored I went back into fastboot and my bootloader is again showing up as UNLOCKED. I already reflashed CWM through fastboot just fine!

What 'getvar' line, can you be a bit more specific please?

I'm using XT 1068 Moto G but the problem I have seems similar.

I tried to flash MSM8960_bootloader_singleimage.bin from BlankFlash:
