Why i complain? Your title says XTREME battery settings. For that title, i would suggest there is more in depth battery tweaking going on. You basicly turned of all animations and some functionality, which frankly, dont even do that much to battery life. Deleting all those apps, also isnt going to do XTREME much.. Just because you get a good battery life now, doesnt mean it is because of making the phone less attractive software-wise.

As i said, do some research on energy leaks and battery consumption in the framework and basics of android. That is the problem for all phone with poor battery's and turning hot phones. You state that you are new to this, maybe be open for others instead of being sow hostile. I am not here to burn you, i just question your topic.

DISCLAIMER for all of you. In my case I remove it to make phone "lighter" and faster and snapier and more responsive. Which it did. Also it's nice to experiment and tweak and learn. But I see some of you like to live in the box and never go out...
It has already been proven a million times: Bloatwares that you never use will never consume battery. This isn't year 2014 anymore. Things have changes a lot and software has been better.

Turning all animations is personal preference. This is my third device that I do that same thing. And also I use windows like that on my PC. Its extremely fast. And live wallpapers and dynamic wallpapers do significantly drain battery.

Its just a fact dude. The feeling you have is just a mix of the fast processor, the 120hz screen and as you state, all animations of. Bloatwares you dont use, are not active at all. You also never see them at battery stats for that reason. All based on a placebo effect.

I guess it is a solid and good box then..

My goal is not to be hostile.
The objective of this topic is to offer an experience. As I like to tweak the phones, I also offer my tests. Fortunately, everyone is free to interpret them as they wish ! However, I try to argue my point of view and not just saying a sentence like: "your phone is a brick" or "it's useless" or "how to make your smartphone dumb".
I can hear it, but just argue plz. Proove that is unusefull.

How do you know that bloatware are not used, not active ?
When you go to battery stat, what "other" at the end of the stat represent ?

I'm agree with you. This phone is good. 120hz and processor make this phone very responsive.
But if we can save a few hours of use and avoid recharging it once a day, why not give it a try ?
I may not gain much by doing this. But if the benefit is there, I will not deprive myself.

I still have other modifications to make and in a few days, I will post my feedback.
Actually, got this. And i don't have bug and i can do the same as after a clean install without any modifications.

Sow u roughly get 6 hours of SOT in your style of usage?

I really am not impressed with that. I dont think your method as above has done you well. Untill this day i still had no time to do stuff on my phone, but my mi 9 with a 3300mah batt had an average of 5-6 hours sot. Normal use, sow loads of fb and youtube. I cant believe this phone wont do better than that.

Keep me posted on your tweaks, curious what you do. But by the looks of your play services and data signal, i recommend you to dive into those 2 instead of removing bloatware. Espacially the playservices is to high compaired to all the other apps i can see in your list. For myself i havent tweaked those 2, but i am not rooted, sow things are a little harder for me unfortunately.

Right, my play services are too high. But i think i solved the problem during this cycle.
I will look after next charge.
For the signal, i have no idea. Maybe Volte. I will try without but I don't believe it. I think that today, it doesn't drain more with. Signal is not bad where i am.
I will test with and without 5G because I am at the limit of a 5G signal.

And i choose to use WQHD+ / 120Hz and I unchecked energy saving. I will never go back to 60hz but i will try with FHD+.

For the signal i would suggest you check your sim activity. My sim was configured wrong. How to acces:

Settings - device info - all specs - press on internal storage untill you get the next screen.

In that next screen go to sim 1 and make sure it only takes 'nr/wcdma/lte' you could add gsm, but i dont see the point in adding gsm to that one. Most of the signal issues is adressed to a wrong configure there.

For the play services, if you are rooted, use magisk to install 'gms doze'. It will neutralise the activity to a normal point and less consuming point. .

Can you pls try that for me? As i said, i am not rooted yet, but if this trick still works, root is an option for me.

Ok.
So sim was on NR/LTE/GSM/WCDMA.
I remove GSM but every time i will reboot, i will have to set it again. I remember that an app can fix settings. Have to look for.
Thx for GMS doze. I thought it was not updated since a long time and there is no package on magisk. But i found gms doze 1.8.2 updated the 30/03/2021. Nice !
I will see if it work.

Let me know the second charge pls. Hope it is improved with gms doze and your sim settings right.

    PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Now this is just my personal preference and you don't need to follow all steps and you should choose what suits your needs. But I get amazing battery life with this settings without sacrificing 120Hz and WQHD+.

I am on EU ROM 12.6 21.3.31 Beta Latest Update

With 120Hz and WQHD+ Turned ON.
If you use WQHD+ Uncheck save battery with WQHD+ (if enabled this will make screen glitch while switching across apps)

I uninstalled a lot of apps but the most important that drain battery are Facebook and Chrome.

    ADB COMMANDS:

    adb devices
    adb shell
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.mi.globalbrowser (MIUI browser)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox (Google)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.hotwordenrollment.xgoogle (Google Assistant)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.hotwordenrollment.okgoogle (Google Assistant)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.mi.health (MIUI Health)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.ar.lens (Google Lens)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.email (Mail)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.mms (Messaging)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.xiaomi.payment (Mi Coin)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.videoplayer (Mi Video)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.player (Music)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.notes (Notes)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.huanji (Mi Mover)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.weather2 (Weather)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.personalassistant (MIUI app vault)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.xiaomi.migameservice (Mi Game Service)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.protips (Home Screen Tips)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.xiaomi.mi_connect_service (Mi Connect)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.nfc (This will remove NFC)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.cellbroadcastreceiver (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5296987/what-is-broadcastreceiver-and-when-we-use-it)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.apps.cloudprint (Cloud Print)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.mishare.connectivity (Mi Share)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.gms.location.history (Google Location History)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.wallpaper.livepicker (Live Wallpaper Picker)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.newmidrive (Mi Drive)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.xiaomi.macro (MiMacro)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.nextpay (NextPay)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.mfashiongallery.emag (Mi Wallpaper Carousel)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.android.fashiongallery (Wallpaper Carousel)

I am sure I uninstalled more google apps and forget to write it down.

Settings/Apps/Permissions/AutoStart -Here you can leave ON only apps like messenger Viber WhatsApp Gmail and apps that you think you need to receive notifications at all the time. But turn off all the rest.

Settings/Apps/Manage Apps/Battery Saver/Restrict Background Activity -Here you choose which apps should be restricted, I have restricted most of my apps except the ones that need to get messages and notifications etc...

    ADB COMMANDS
    adb devices
    adb shell
pm disable-user com.android.traceur (Disable logcat if you don't need logs)
cmd package bg-dexopt-job (Forcing ANdroid app optimization after every update (must be redone after every OTA) but also automatically runs every X days when the cell phone is charged overnight)

Settings/Location/Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Scanning -Switch Off Both Options-

    Settings/Connection And Sharing/Printing -Switch Off-

    Settings/Connection And Sharing/Private DNS/Private DNS Provider Hostname/DNS.Adguard.com

    Settings/Wi-Fi/Wi-Fi Assistant -Switch Off Everything-

Settings/Bluetooth/Additional Settings/Pair Compatible Devices -Switch Off-

    Settings/Additional Settings/Developer Options/Window Animation Scale -Off-
    Settings/Additional Settings/Developer Options/Transition Animation Scale -Off-
    Settings/Additional Settings/Developer Options/Animator Duration Scale -Off-

    Settings/Display/Dark Mode -ON-
    Settings/Display/Reading Mode -ON-
    Settings/Display/AI Image Engine -All OFF-

    Settings/Location/Google Location History/Pause

    Settings/Always-On Display & Lock Screen/Always-On Display -OFF-
    Settings/Always-On Display & Lock Screen/Notification Effect/None
Settings/Always-On Display & Lock Screen/Raise To Wake -OFF-
Settings/Always-On Display & Lock Screen/Double Tap To Wake Or Turn Off The Screen -OFF-

Settings/Password & Security/Fingerprint Unlock -OFF- (Face unlock is just blazing fast and best option)

    Google Play/Settings/Auto-Update Apps/Don't Auto-Update Apps

There is a ton of settings in the phone so I could left something out but these are for sure the main important ones.
And necessary to tweak this device all the time ,. Revert some of these settings after every restart.

Basicly turns smartphone into a brick
    4
we learn from our mistakes. Doing nothing is always easier.
I just forget to delete this line. My bad.

Save battery by turning on/off... The easy way. Not my philosophy !

I like to tweak and not do it in simplicity. At worst, I reinstall my phone and start again what I have already tweaked with more attention
    3
Great tutorial how to make your smartphone dumb.... Yes it would help to save battery life....
