XyBoard 10.1 Verizon can't perform system update?

Model MZ617 with Verizon connectivity. I'm running an older version of the ROM but when I select System updates it just sits forever saying "Checking for available update. Please Wait..."

Anyone know how to get the latest update?

Well, I did a factory reset and it was able to contact whatever server it contacts and apparently it already has the latest update.
