Thanks, this saved me! I (like others had mentioned) had to go into recovery and do a wipe of data/cache, but it worked like a charm for me.
Glad to hear it! I get so much info and help here, it's nice to be a help for a change!!
Cheers!

Well there is the problem, depending on how "bricked" it is the following apply.I have tried and tried to get this genius one click system to work. i think it is not working because my battery is too low but is not charging enough to reattempt. Obviously it will charge much slower because the screen will not go off but four hours with factory charger should have it up enough to run the fastboot. Do i need the programmers cable from motorola to get rid of the brick? If not, how do i get it to say ok to program in the fastboot mode?
I can imagine how frustrating it is dealing with an idiot like me who manages to look over a dozen warnings until after it is bricked and trying to figure what went wrong. That being said I still have a very expensive paperweight that I would like not to trash. I have learned that I do not have what it takes to fool with these things and have the tech savvy of a grapefruit. It is stuck at the m and stayed on charger all night but still says battery low/cannot program. I have literally no clue how to take out the battery. I am as useless as i am hopeless at this point. Do you think Motorola will flash it if I send it in? Otherwise, what would you tell a four year old to do from here? Maybe I can do that...Well there is the problem, depending on how "bricked" it is the following apply.
Really bricked. Stuck at M Your going to need to pull the battery and charge it out side of the tablet.
Kind of bricked. Os boots but loops at animation. Turn off tablet and plug in charger.
The OS is needed to charge the tablet. All be it the whole is dose not need to load. So if it's looping while attempting to do the final boot sequence then it should still charge.
From a power off state only the minimal core stuff needs to run for the charging modules to load. That said from a power off state the entire OS does not typical load.
I have not personaly pulled the ba\ery for charging , but nchantmnt has done it a few times before. Try reaching out to him for help.I can imagine how frustrating it is dealing with an idiot like me who manages to look over a dozen warnings until after it is bricked and trying to figure what went wrong. They won't. One of two things will likely happen. A they give you a new (refurbished) one or just charge and flash yours back to stock.I spoke to Motorola and they are sending me a box for repair submission. I don't know if they will be able to see that I had rooted it but don't care a lot either. They have several pages of my complaints and previous submissions for repair of software that were never resolved. Verizon gave me the same run around, as did Google. I finally (after much time and frustration) took matters into my own hands and rooted with hopes of getting new OS altogether. And fix these problems. What will happen if they boot it up and find root?

Your fine man.FANTASTIC!!Thank you for your help. In the future...is it uncool to pm? I feel like I should be more patient and stick to the forum. I panicked and bothered you. Btw,you seem to be the foremost authority on Motorola tablets and are very well respected on the net. Great work...be proud.

No it does not. These are for when it gets (FUBAR) and the entire thing has to be re flashed back to stock. We have a locked bootloader and when we jack with it bad things can happen. If you brick it you need to find a way to flash the fastboot files via stock recovery so you have a tablet that POWERS ON again. /at least that what I have determined from hundreds of hours of reading about the xyboard lol/As a bit of a noob can I ask what is the purpose of this fastboot file? Does it gets us any closer to being able to have custom ROMs or Ubuntu Touch?
