Do I upload these files to the phone and execute them? I have a Mac and you know its usually not compatible with anything lol Sorry to be a stooge but I need more precise details please

You only need to download and install the yahoo.im.apk and yahoo.imvideo.apk on your device. The zip files were intended for Atrix users when I started this mod and it requires rooted devices.

In case your camera orientation is wrong, you can replace the yahoo.imvideo.apk with any of the 90, 180 or 270 versions to correct it.

I have an Atrix and I downloaded the zip file to my device but when I tried to execute the program nothing happened, I tried with ES file Explorer and still nothing happened. Thanks for the reply

your fix is allowing my galaxy s to use the front camera but the orientation is incorrect. when I use the apk files you provided to fix the orientation, it messes up the orientation of the preview box

Ive seen someone else post that the htc evo 4g had the issues where the person on other end is distorted....was wondering was that ever address as I'm having the same issue

can anybody confirm if this works on unrooted Dell Streak 5, the ym apk and the plugin works but its still back camera only i really wanted to use front facing camera for ym...

There was a mistake in my code to open the FFC for streak 5. It was resolved in my skype mod but I didn't have time to update YM.

I'll find some time to update it maybe this weekend or next week.

For those who have dell streak 5, try this video plugin. Uninstall the plugin you downloaded from post #1 and install this one.

LG Optimus Black, Optimus 3D and Revolution users as well as HTC models (not sure what specific models) that use Camera.open("secondary") can try this too.

Let me know if it works for you guys so I can update post #1.

Note: If you used the ADB method or the zipped jar file (for rooted devices), you have to download the yahoo.im.apk on post#1 (in addition to this apk) and replace your installed ym and ym plugin. You MUST also remove /system/framework/com.htc.hardware.twinCamDevice.jar so that the new code can detect the FFC correctly (otherwise it will confuse the new code)

hi anybody tried the fix on a Galaxy S II? how about the original Galaxy tab? cause my dad just bought a GSII yesterday and hoping there is a fix for the FFC for yahoo....and my mom is thinking of buying a Galaxy Tab 7".

hi i installed the yahoo.im.apk on a GSII but i'm having force closes. the GSII is unrooted. and i unistalled first the previous apps. is there anything i can do?

EDIT: i downloaded the ym app from market and used your fix plug-in now it works....but upside down on the window of the person i am talking to. maybe the upside down plug-in (on my part) will the image correct on the other side...just waiting for the GSII to fully charge then i'll try it again

Could you please make an apk that will undo the changes in yahoo.imvideo.apk? I installed the apk's and tried all the other orientations. The different orientations change on the other persons screen, but show upside-down in my preview. All the videos that I take with the ffc are always sideways if I hold the phone up-right (in the camera app), but are correct if I hold the phone sideways... and I would like to undo this.

I am on an Atrix on 4.5.91... I've tried a factory restore without luck.

*EDIT* So it looks like I might have been a royal noob on this one...
After going to the local AT&T it looks like the Atrix wont record video in portrait orientation...

I'm not sure which video plugin works for GT but I think it's either the 90 or 270. Just install the yahoo.im.apk and one of the yahoo.imvideo APKs.
