I don't have this exact problem but I have similar one when the phone is 15-20% it suddenly drops down to 10% and then drops down again to 1% !!!
But can last for an hour on 1% or sometimes shutdowns but when I start it again without changing it's 20% again!!????

Please help me bro!!!
I am using note10.1 2014 3g

thanks In advance
Why not post in the proper forum? You're reviving a dead thread to post in a forum about the battery gauge (not device specific) about a issue with your device that may be a problem with your device.

Bad battery gauge

hi, i have an S4 mini GT I9192. i have been having issues with my battery. at first, my phone would go off at 50%! and it wouldn't come back on. after pluggin into a charger for 5 minutes, it would turn on at 0%.
i later started charging it upto 50 percent and then using it untill it drains, but whenever i let my phone goes into sleep, it goes off! especially near 30%
when also charging my phone, when it reaches 57% it automatically jumps to 100%
if i reboot, i loose close to 20-30%!
i thought it was a battery issue so i bought a new one and it still behaves the same.
Kindly help:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Good read, thanks for the information! I've been curious why the battery drops from 100% to 80% with only 30 minutes of screen-on time.

I veen bump charging since my s3, but not sure if it works so much with the new phones. I have a note 5 and i bumped it a few times but the kernels are still fresh as the phone is barely 2 months old so cant really gauge yet. Definitely worked on my past phones tho

Good info, but when my phone lose 10% after unplug the wall charger, also lose a lot of charge on screen on, so I after about 2 monts of usage i make a backup of all app+data, make Full Wipe and then restore all my app, now my phone stay alive double of time before the full wipe, and on the morning not lose anymore the 10% of charge.

What do you use to backup and restore? Titanium?

beautifully written, really helped explain what's going on with drops after disconnecting charger! Now I can relax and use my device without obsessing so much with battery gauge. OCD battery checking good bye and good riddance!!
