I just can't seem to pick an ultimate favorite. I usually install a few and switch depending on mood. They all perform well.
On my tablet: Holo Launcher HD, ADW Ex, Go Launcher HD, Chameleon
On my SGS3: Next Launcher, Holo Launcher HD, and sometimes Apex/Nova/ADW Ex/TSF depending on the ROM I'm using at the time.
I like trying out random launchers as general development is getting pretty solid. It's interesting to see different original and sometimes brilliant designs/methods/functionality implemented.

No one has mentioned Next Launcher, it is the one i use. Some eye candy, some nice themes, works for me.
Actually I mentioned it 3 posts ago or so, but I agree totally, it's a great launcher with lots of options and the theming is getting great. The learning curve is much smaller than TSF, which I find too big of a jump from the standard.

Nice launcher though. But to each his own I guess.

My bad, missed it. 65 year old eyes are not what they used to be. The learning curve is fairly easy as you say. If i switch out though i usually go with apex.

Funny I use apex, nova, tsf, unity launcher, swapps and apex. Allows me to set up uccw's skins like Pages, ubu2, globe, Play Pie and HTC Sense 5. Currently most of the skins setups are being done on my Nexus 4 the Asus tf300 will have to wait look at screenshots you can see some of my current work. Looking forward to flashing Ubuntu phone OS in the future when dual boot is a better option.

I think all above launchers are great with there pro's and cons. Very few cons for almost all standard launchers work alike.

I find with Nova, Apex and Adw you are having to buy the Pro versions to unlock features for all.

Only launcher I consider pro design for the Nexus 4 phone and Asus tablet is Go launcher. I wouldn't use go launcher if you paid me to use it. :) . Cons display drains battery fast on both devices for all that eye candy.

Wish u all the best! :)

And now Chameleon Launcher beta 2 was released just last week for both phone and tablet - it is awesome and better than the beta 1. Its available at the moment to all the Kickstarter funders.
