Apologies for what may be a dumb question...

I was reading about these launchers and wanted to try a few so I got Apex and Nova and on my tablet I had reverted back to the 4.1 style launcher because the 4.2 style had the notifications stuffed so tight up in the upper left that I kept hitting the darn google search bar. Anyways..... while in the 4.1 style and then testing Apex and Nova, whenever I pressed my Home button it would ask which launcher and I'd select it and away we go. As expected.

Well I wanted to see if the launchers looked or acted any differently if I was on the 4.2 style launcher. So I pressed Home, switched to the stock launcher, went into settings->launcher and told it to switch to 4.2 style launcher. It rebooted to the 4.2 style.

Now if I go into Apps and start Nova Launcher, it will start, but as soon as I press the home button I'm back to the stock launcher. Same with Apex. They're no longer persistent "Home replacements". I don't get the dialogue box asking me which launcher to use when I press Home. It just pops out of either Apex or Nova and goes back to stock launcher.

Do Nova and Apex not work in 4.2?

Thanks

Edit ** figured it out... Apparently some part of Apex was still running. I uninstalled it. Another reboot fixed it and I could run Nova normally. Now reinstalling Apex to see if it was just a fluke

The easy fix for this is to go into Nova settings and select you default launcher from there. It will let you choose even if its not Nova.

Nova. I use it on my phone and on my tablet. I haven't tried many other launchers on my tablet but I've been threw all of them on my phone and Nova is definitely the best. I just recently switched from stock to Nova on my tab so I need to set it up so it looks good. My Nova setup on my phone looks awesome. I'm hoping I can achieve the same result.

I'm just curious, are there any problems with nova launcher? I want to buy the premium but I just wanted to know are there any problems with nova?

Best Launcher for me is the stock 4.1 launcher...or if I want something extra, or want to make all my friends jealous, I install TSF Shell...best launcher on android by far...but im minimalistic, and the stock 4.1 launcher has all the features I need, and all the functions I use everyday...

so, the best minimalistic launcher (that includes the minimalistic thing that you dont even need to install an extra app for it) is the 4.1 stock JB android launcher
and the best pimp-my-ride launcher is TSF Shell, if you want that extra tuning feel for you tf300, to make it a real beast

No single problem with nova here. I like it much.

So, I wanted to switch to different launcher than stock, because it's little bit laggy sometimes, so I installed Nova and Apex but both have the same issue in app drawer - black stripes on right and left, like if you're scrolling through apps, they are disapearing 2 cm before edge of screen, do you have same issue? That's the only reason forcing me to use stock because it just doesn't look very good at all.
