Can you guys recommend some way(the best way) to watch 1080p on the nexus.

No use in wasting the screen on the stupid native app, which nevermind not allowing FHD, simply has HORRIBLE upscaling.
I've tried some apps which mostly fail catastrophically for one reason or another.
Examples:
Not respecting forced orientation(a lot of the time I use the tablet laying down with my head in "landscape" mode so to speak).
Horrible UI navigation.
Or simply not being able to open/paste YT video links.

The viral floating whatchamacallit actually has potential.
It does say that it supports 1080p so this has to be a bug.

So let's see what the feedback from the dev is.

Looks like the dev removed mention of 1080p from the app description. Shame, because it looks like a good app. Does anyone know of any 1080p solutions for us non-rooted people who can't use the modified YouTube apk?

It looks like they took the 1080p out of the paid version. Also, note the more recent reviews of people complaining they can't get 1080p.

Alternate method/works on nexus 7 2013 aospa

Change: ro.build.version.release=4.4.4

to: ro.build.version.release=4.4.2

...in your build.prop file. Not sure how it works, but it does...also fixed 1080p Netflix streaming for me. I found this work around in another thread. Can't find it now.

Where's this file located? Also, does it cause any issues? Thanks
