I'm thinking on getting xperia x compact. my Z's vibrator has gone defective. Without that, I sometimes miss important stuffs. I wish I could fix that. but still, I'm moving so can't do that pretty soon. Is 408 Euro for Xperia X compact worth it? might buy it in Germany.

The ear piece on my Z has finally died and nothing out there seems to measure up. I tried a Moto X and sent it back since it was even less reliable so nothing will be replacing it as of now. Pondering getting another or having Sony fix the ear piece.

I got an iphone 6S and i am still using my Xperia Z as my work phone.

---------- Post added at 11:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:35 AM ----------

i am actually now happy with iphone 6S but was wondering if anyone could team up with me to try and install iOS on xperia Z i have a feeling that it would be able to handle iOS without any problems as such. What are your opinions?
Not at all, ios is running so good cause apple only has few phones to make software for, and they adjust hardware to match it, so you will never be able to get better, nor even same performance with ios on any other phone except iphones

haha iphones are really the best, i remember getting a 2nd hand iphone 5 and it was so smooth and every games/app ran prefect on it, but they are so f ing expensive tho

i dont think androids hardware can handle ios tho, like it or not the apple cpu beat android cpu on all benchmark, and i am sure apple have all that stuff on lock down and encrypted

Pretty sure. Been on the same ROM for at least 6 months. Speaker issue has been coming and going for about the last month or so.

are you using the purex rom by Rajeev? great rom, but still if you have the time you can always try other/do a complete factory reset, who knows it may save you some money from buying new phone

Currently on XROM or so says my phone. I have run Rajeev's ROM and probably should switch back as it is dang good.

I bought a secondhand, year-old, Moto X Style (XT1572) off eBay. So far so good.
looks great, have water resistance nano coating, and 7.0 update. always loved how moto give you zero bloat os too. btw is there any moto-made app on the phone at all? sony is very bad with all the useless pre-loaded on the phone

There are a few Moto apps. The "Alert" app offers a quick means to reach contacts in case of emergency. The "Moto" app offers the "Actions", Display and Voice capabilities that a lot of people like very much (personally, I'd rather just have a notification LED -- which btw this phone does not have). And there's a Connect app that can associate the phone with other Motorola accessories (like the 360 smartwatch).

The camera is, as is usual, OEM specific. The Google Camera app is deemed by the Play Store to be incompatible with this phone.

Most else is pretty close to stock.

This model doesn't yet have Nougat. Someone posted a 7.1.1 result for the X Style to GFXBench which has a number of users from India all excited, but there's no firm date or announcement of Nougat for the model. Mine runs the stock Marshmallow firmware.

i do know the connect app cause i have a motorola bluetooth headset. the preview screen thing looks like a great idea if it works. i remember every device can download google camera back it the days, then they made it nexus exclusive or something

if i only own a xperia Z , i would go for a Z3 (cheap price , very good performance even by 2016 standard) ,
but since now i owned almost all the Z(Z2 - Z5) family , it get a little boring imo
anything is exciting out there? android phones seems pretty much all the same, the different is the price/waterproofing etc.

i havent owned one but i think zenfones are great(not the intel cpu ones) with all those zenui apps, i used to use them a lot

if you want best bang for the buck then take one plus series , they are cheap and have good build quality
or if u dont give a damn about build quality and only care about performance,
then go with Xiaomi , they are extremely cheap and have cheap looking material but pack high end spec

best build quality and UI and also audio Are HTC, but they are expensive and hard to modify (since you had to pay $25 to S-off the bootloader)

best camera right now is galaxy s7 , huawei mate 8

yeah but xiaomi are sending ur text msg back to china, 1+ is also china so cant consider them

i like HTC a lot, i used to have their windows mobile phones, touch/HD, my first android was HTC legend, and they used to have cool ui and smooth performance, very good customer service in my area too, but they are selling sub-par hardware with jacked up price, i would support them if i have the money haha
