Hi

so far the only thing keeping me from keeping this room as my daily rom is the battery, the tap to wake function, works flawlessly and is awesome, all the mods are awesome, and the limitless possibilities of costumization is awesome.
however the battery didn't last a day with very small usage, according to battery usage, 47% was screen use, and 38% was Android OS, wich seems kind of odd to me, because the Android OS isn't usually at the top i think.

I do believe however, that this problem is occuring because i am using an older kernel, because apparently this is the only kernel that supports tap to wake (3.4.6 [email protected] #1Sat feb 7) , wich is pretty much the reason that made me install this ROM in the first place.

so, any tips or fixes or ways to use tap to wake in the newest kernel so the battery doesn't drain so much?

More power consumption is becouse of tap to wake ( cpu is not in deep sleep ) if you turn this option off battery will be on normal state 2-3 day usage

Double tap to wake is already there with new kernel (you need to read changelog post friend) to activate try pimpmyz1 app. So you can turn off and on. Present I had turned off you need to on

It already had patch. But the lzma compression is not supported with this. That would be reason. I will change the compression to gzip so you can access it.
The kernel will be updated with rom..

May be rom would be today
This was late because. The time is very tight for me to spend on work

This would be latest update of kernel compared to others

Here is a new changelog

New Built recoveries
*Twrp
*Philz
New screens
Ramdisk updated to .157
( few more they will be updated with rom )

Why i am using the Lzma Compression
Because our device partition for boot img would be around 16-20 mb (lzma had best compression saving 4 mb)
if the boot img exceed the limit of partition the kernel never boots
i am trying to compress to gzip (multirom lovers) with rom update....

These new recoveries come with rom update
Rom Mods are now 75% completed ( very busy schedule ) sorry for the delay and making you so anxiety
3 new mods making me late ............... almost got to finish
and the thing is sure in 2 days ( as promise )
Because i am stuck with Review of my project

however, pimp my z1 says this kernel isn't compatible with double tap to wake, but you said the newest kernel is compatible with double tap to wake.
soo am i doing something wrong? or the latest kernel doesn't support double tap to wake.

Z3 brightness, DTW

I resolve DTW, upgrade to Z2, power compsuption in very, very low, 1% per 10 hours 3g gsm standby (my gsm provider is on 3g umts).
My xperia z1 is on my wife.
I like RockZ1k rom for z3 brithness, powerfull sound, ...., not for DTW, ... is missing.
Actually, my z1 are more brithness than my z2;

There's no software fault. Brightness in Z1 even with old ftf screen have more brightness than Z2. It's screen technology related.

Yeah, z1 stock brightness is inferior to z2 brightness.
Features of the ROM
I am interested as how ported z3 brithness on z1.
Maibe port z3 brithness to z2.
Is posted on first page on this forum; venkat kamesh, z1 rom:

Almost no more bugs i can promise...
Unlocked bootloaders you will love to use ( kernel mass updates )

now i am testing the Rom... if once finished you will get the update today
