Noob question, I followed the instructions very carefully and after reboot, I can see NDR Utils and opened it with SuperSU permission then ticked TWRP as primary. But when I chose reboot to primary recovery, it doesn't enter recovery and will continue booting as normal instead. Any help on this?

I'm using Xperia Z1 C6903 running on 51.1 14.6.A.0.368

TIA.

Tried it again and still the same, it didn't reboot to recovery go straight to normal boot even if I use the NDR Util to reboot. It's just like I'm doing a normal reboot.

Here is the screenshot of install.bat and looks like done successfully.

By the way, I can find these files as well since I'm trying to remove it. They aren't there.

/system/bin/recovery.twrp.cpio.lzma (or .tar)
/system/bin/recovery.cwm.cpio.lzma (or .tar)
/system/bin/recovery.philz.cpio.lzma
/system/bin/charger
/system/bin/dualrecovery.sh
/system/bin/mr

Just to add.

After downloading and installing busybox, all I can see on NDR is 'unabler to read XZDR,prop.

I installed busybox cause it think it can resolve not booting to recovery.

Glad if someone can help.

Make sure you have the sdcard formatted the same way you had before. It sounds to me you don't have the sd-ext partition on it...

Err... that's not the message you where expecting there...

I wonder if you are doing something wrong or that you might be running into a bug in TWRP ...
well first i want to advanced whipe and whiped the external sd card then advanced > partition sd card> ext size 512 / Swap size 32 > swipe to partition > and got that error . Is there another way to format it sir? If it matters the backup size is 3.8 GB and i use a sanDisk ultra.

Took me 3 seconds to find that on Google Search ...

Backup size does matter but the size of the sd-ext backup file is more important to be honest.
