Reporting back! This worked for me just now. I restarted phone after applying patch. Make sure you followed the instructions and set correct permissions. I'm locked BL z3 dual latest firmware (.96)

It's not working for me also on my D5803, locked BL, rooted with .77 firmware, set permissions to 0777, rebooted, killed the sound completely.

I have the same phone/rom etc... but which post should I be looking at? I tried the one from post #102 and my in call volume is still very low.

I tried the file from #71 on my 6603 with .77 Firmware but it doesn't work. Kills the sound completely. Same after reboot. After replacing with the old file, sound came back. I'll upload my stock file.

I'll make it quick and easy.
There are 2 versions now:
1. Just stereo
2. stereo w/ headphones boost

First one will enable both speakers on loudspeaker mode on incoming call and the second version will additionally boost headphones output (louder headphones)
Of course, as always, there will be no quality loss at all caused by this!

Reporting back again this mod is still working on lollipop. I only want stereo boost for loudspeaker ao here's what I did.
1.downloaded the file on post #1 (choose what you want from the two)
2. Manually extract it.
3. Go to /system/etc. Find mixer profile.xml and copy it for backup purposes. Then delete the original file on/system /etc
4. Browse the extracted file that you download open the folder /system /etc on that. You will find mixer profiles.xml there. Copy it to the location of your phone, /system/etc. Set permission to rw-r-r. Reboot and you're done.

You need root for this and a file explorer, I use es file explorer. Im on Android Lollipop 5.0.2 on my Z3 dual.

Sorry let me correct myself the file is called mixer_paths. Find the same file in your system /etc folder and replace it with the one downloaded.

I can confirm this works on the verizon z3v now that we have root.
I'm on stock firmware 4.4, so I guess it would work nonetheless. Thanks guys.

I confirmed that the louder headset also work on my D6603 on Lollipop. Before this mod, my volumn was full and still not loud enough. After this mod, my volumn is extremely loud at about 75%

I've just tried but in mine don't work this mod, with lollipop volume is very, very low.

Yes i have .28 firmware, i just replace the mixer_path using root explorer. I just need the headphone boost.

Of course system/etc should be writtable to change the files.
