Basically have the least amount apps possible installed, dont overclock, and LED control could be important for your LED I guess so dont disable it. Try using servicely to disable those services only when you are not using them. Try different roms and find one that suits you.

having very less apps, mostly I don't look LED , play store servicely says your device isn't compatible with this version(4.0.4) and installed disable service app.... and thanks mate...:good::good::good:....

And u said cm11 generally has less battery life than earlier versions....
So what about CM12 , ....... ????

I tried it but I had bad performance because of my sd card, so i can't judge.

i dont know it work on smultron. my exams is started and i havent time.
but i promise you that i will release a amazing CM13 rom after my exams.for co**** , smultron , mango ,....

but still didnt work. Cant open google play app after install.
