but couldn't install xzrecovery from either PC or the app.

hi,
i've rooted my Z3 using KingRoot and used SuperSU-Me afterwards to replace KingUser with SuperSU. Used the install.sh on ArchLinux to install recovery, used the SuperSu option. Now my phone hangs at "SONY ... XPERIA" logo. Completely powering it off and powering it on again did not help. I'm on latest LP Stock (.264)

No boot into recovery.

Having troubles booting into recovery. It is almost like it isn't there anymore... When I use NDRutils, and try to boot into recovery, it goes straight into android. None of the recovery options work. When I turn it off normally, press the power and down button, I get what seems to be stock android system recovery with options: Continue Power Up, Safe mode, Factory Reset, Power down. I don't have a recovery even though I've used it in the past.... help? I am about to re-flash the recovery however I don't want to mess it up. I need to uninstall the xposed framework is why I need this.

I just went ahead with the flash and I have TWRP again, which is nice. Working on the rest.

I used the Z3-lockeddualrecovery2.8.26-RELEASE.combined flash from the website. Just flashed it right on top and it worked. Your experience may vary so watch out!!

Backup using twrp recovery run extremely hot , the cpu kick to 90 C degree. Anyone else have this problem?

Me too looks like it's gonna blow up. Is there a configuration or partition that we shouldn't backup?

I downloaded and flashed this recovery successfully without errors to the D6603. Now I have a situation that phone boots but only Xperia text is continuously changing colours and ROM is not starting. And at the same time I haven't found a way to get in recovery or bootloader. Let's hope my phone not bricked... Anybody could help me how to connect to phone and do something to fix this?

edit: if trying to get fastboot mode (power off, press volume up, usb cable attach) blue led is starting but phone do not start, do not reboot or do anything even I press power button. It's starting to boot only after removing usb cable.

I have Existenz Marshmallo 3.9.0 ROM in my phone.

how can you say you read the thread ? Dual recovery don't working in mm Rom , in eXistenZ twrp already built , anything not necessary to flash .

I have a D6633 which got stuck in boot loop following an update using Xperia companion.
I then used flashtool to flash D6633_23.0.F.1.74_CE.ftf to it. During the process I wiped cache and applog and left data. After this the phone still stays in boot loop.
I left data because I think there is away for me to back up and restore my data. Probably by using XZDualRecovery since my bootlocker is locked.
Can I install if the phone is in flash mode?
Is there an exploit which can help me salvage the data.

I don't think you can backup your data. Maybe from fastboot mode, try to Google it cause I'm not sure (search for "backup data fastboot img" or something like that)

There's no stable Cm13 nor usable Cm14 for Z3 and no, you can't install them with locked bootloader as they need a custom kernel

BUG REPORT:

System info, STOCK ROM + Locked Bootloader
Sony Z3 D6603

No encrypted /data folder support.

Steps to reproduce.

Flash Stock ROM, install recovery, boot rom, charge phone to 100%, encrypt phone with password "abcd1234", reboot, boot into recovery, try to mount /data,

What happens.
Data cannot mount even with correct password.

What is expected.
Data to mount with correct password.

Have you tried running the application with administrator privileges?
