I received 3 different IMEIs from AliExpress/Shenzen. I guess all z8 owners have same IMEI...

"Yes, the factory don't install the imei number for Spain country here, cuz your country customs very strict for phone products.
Here is the IMEI number from factory. please try to install this into the phone, then can works well. please don't worry.

Introduced IMEI with mobileuncle MTK Tools Now Z8 is working as a standalone mobile. Micro and speaker work very clear in phone conversation (in this task, it seems better than the Omate).
GPS just used once. Endomondo took around 5 minutes to have GPS ready. I was outdoor. No GPS indoor. No GPS fix installed yet.
Worst thing of this smartwatch is battery. It is marking only between 100% to 90%. When is 90% it switches off. And when charging it goes from empty to 100% in less than 10 minutes. What about yours?

I thought it was a battery problem so I asked the manufacturer to send me a new battery.
Is there a solution?
Might have to do battery calibration?

Z8 paired with Jabra Sport bluetooth headset and Zephyr bluetooth Heart Rate band. Those with Endomondo Pro app make a nice sport Combo

That's exactly how I use my Omate TrueSmart. I have a polar BT heart rate monitor. I used a Have a BT3030 hanging on a Shure SE310, but now I switched to a König CMP-BLUEHS11, which I picked over the Jabra Sport.
From reviews, the Jabra Sport has mediocre audio quality, uncomfortable fit, short battery life and bad connection. What's your experience?

By the way, Omate did push and OTA update to the TrueSmart. Anything anyone wants me to test? I do have a rooted TS btw.
The GPS is not good on my watch. It can see satellites, but no lock. I have tried with different apps that are supposed to help but no luck (lock)

Can the menus of this watch be set to Japanese? My Omate can't and I really need it to be able to. If this can then it at least offers an alternative. Can someone please chack for me. I'm not just asking about Japanese input but that the actual default language can be set to Japanese.

No, thats Korean. The others are thai, Chinese traditional and Chinese simple I believe.

The weight of my Z8 is 68gr and the weight of my Aluminium Omate is 77gr.
The omate looks better quality and more stilysh. I started testing the Omate today. I will compare both.
Omate has a newer interface software but only thing found better is the clocks/watches.
Most irritating thing of cheap z8 is the battery. Yesterday it switched off in 76%. You never know how much battery you have and Im'm not able to calibrate it.

Battery aside, copy OUI2 from the TS and install it on the Z8. You end up with an OwatchON working device with OUI2 for less than the cost of a TS.
So this watch will work on AT&T and Tmobile networks in the U.S., correct? How good is the gps when used with apps like endomondo or runkeeper?
I think Z8 and Omate must be used with a microSIM as standalone. For companion there are better options. Having microSim AGPS activated it takes less than 30 seconds to fix GPS.
This week I'm using the Omate I have had more problems with the Bluetooth than the Z8.
Omate is nicer and elegant watch (Z8 is plastic and mine is red) but as speed skater I carry hands on the back/tailbone and yesterday, while skating with Omate/Jabra combo I was losing Bluetooth connection with my Jabra sport headset (must say Jabra Sport doesn't have a strong Bluetooth).
With Z8 I just made one training but I don't remember this problems.
I will check again next week.
The screen as well, I think Z8's screen has better response (maybe because Omates curved display sometimes doesn't answer so well).

I even have the occasional bluetooth hickup when running with the watch on my left hand and the receiver of my König bluetooth headset behind my right ear. The headset can otherwise connect to a laptop at 10 metres through a wall. I'm guessing the bluetooth transmitter in the TrueSmart isn't very strong and a human body blocks it very effectively.
rsrsrs I buyed a z8, but I received a original simvalley aw-414!!! but will sell, cause I buyed a k2 companion watch.
