Zenfone 2 and Zenfone 2 Laser differences/similarities?

What would be necessary to port a ROM from the Zenfone 2 to the Zenfone 2 Laser? What are the minor/major differences? At face value it would appear to not be too difficult. I did a quick comparison of the stats and they looked pretty comparable. I should be getting this device in a few days and I look forward to joining the community!

The Zenfone 2 Laser appears in many different variations, differing in board, screen size, resolution and battery...for example i have a ZE550KL with a Snapdragon 610 MSM8916, the exact Codename is asus_z00l_63
