Zenphone pegasus 4s/ Max plus m1 (ASUS_X018DC changed to ASUS_X018D)

Hello, i have a zenphone pegasus 4s (Max pro m1), my problem is : the smartphone was meant to be sold in china and not europe, so they changed the rom to an european one (CN rom to WW), i can't update the smartphone since it won't even search for an update, i tried putting the rom at the root of the internal storage, but i didn't get a pop up to force the update, i want to know if it possible to install a custom rom (the phone is stuck on nougat 7.0) ? have a nice day.

Dude you don't have max pro m1, the m1 was launched with android 8.1 out of the box you have another device contact nearest service centre.

I did contact asus, and it's what they told me, i gave them phone series number and build number

Yours is a Max Plus (M1) not Max Pro M1. You're in the wrong place buddy,
