If you have null would like to connect, dont connect and go back 1 step and select the other connection until you see your phone's name, when having null you need to factory reset again for the setup process to continue (you can hold power button in setup to get menu maybe)
I used the erase commands, do I now need to use the command "fastboot -w" or do I need to fix those partitions now?i'm sorry guys... i just realized that the fastboot commands on the first page are not correct..... fastboot -w will reformat the partitions.... fastboot erase did clear the partitions which make them unusable!
there should be another zenwatch 2 on your watch picker in the app pick the other one
I would also add the "fastboot oem unlock" for those who might not of known that was required first.
I'm having this problem too, it's showing my watch twice in the app, the top one says null would like to connect and goes no further and the bottom hangs at checking for updates forever.
Edit: I did try dirty flashing at first but it kept randomly restarting after a few min so I wiped data and cache and now I'm having this problem.
Well I'm looking into flashing this ROM. Only one concern: my /data partition is 2gb and I can't make a TWRP backup of it. Are there any other ways to backup my /data partition?

How long do update checks take (Checking for updates...)? Initial setup process with version 4. Seems to hang there. 10 minutes or more? Rebooted watch and it resumed I suppose.
Never mind, it took a while, but I ended up doing a factory reset through the watch - then re-connected it, it worked faster that time.

I will test this out tomorrow - so far it looks a lot more stable, I have noticed that when it seems to want to lock up on the swiping, blue tooth disconnects, then reconnects, and swiping is still working. Also, I would love to donate to your project. Not sure if anyone else would, but come payday, maybe a little something to help out? And watch out for Asus, you just might be getting a call from them looking for an AW2 dev.

Well after a while Ambient started working. Battery life seems quite bad, I went from 70% to dead in <4 hours. Going to factory reset after it charges up some to give it a fresh start on the new build. Other than the battery the build seems great, no issues while it was running.
can access the app drawer but cant get the watchface to load, also display is flickering . On v5
Please don't "re-invent" the watch, we went trough that for years on phones and a lot of bad custom ROMs for a lot of models that were of almost no use lol. I like Android Wear how it is, tho I miss the cards like we had them on AW1.5.
Bugreport: Ambient Display is still flickering here. Also, it seems that except for 2 watchfaces all others are missing
EDIT: Okay, Ambient seems to be a bit random. Most times it works, but sometimes it'd still start to flicker the watchface on/off/on/off/on/off and so on.

Also trying to change the watchface on the v4_2 crashes the selector. I think something is wrong with this build in general since even the developer activation crashes (as you mentioned already earlier on).

Did you wipe data? And did you disable tilt to wake? The Watchface issue has already been resolved for next release
Did a fully clean install with "fastboot -w" and "fastboot erase userdata" (before I knew about -w haha).
Right now as example my watch is laying besides me for over an hour and no flickering at all, only went into the normal "screen off" mode after a while. I re-enabled it, watch goes to ambient mode and won't flicker at all now so it's random.
Serial Number ends in 693812C if you want to research this but I think you may not received any logs from me yet, I've flashed v4_2 about 3-4 hours ago.
PS.: Also in the next release enable all 4 cores please, I wanna see if it improves performance even more
Somewhat smooth already tho some heavy Wear apps still stutter a little.
Finally managed to get it to boot and it's much better than Android Wear 1. The only issue I have is that it often crashes when I swipe around on the watchface ( freezes for about 10 seconds and then shows black screen followed by the watch face and it starts working again) also, the battery life is pretty bad right now... paired to my phone with screen always on it doesn't even make it through a full school day!
The ROM is still in an early state so don't expect any magical wonders. Also, the watchface changing is a bug currently which will be fixed in the next release, the dev says.
I had flickering on the 2 "stock" faces, when I switched to a 3rd party face "Minimal & Elegant" the flickering went away. ***Edit*** Switched to "Black Metal HD Watch Face" works better with Wear 2.0

Known problems:
Bluetooth audio calling not working... you'll be informed when a call is incomming and can dismiss it, also choosing a contact will make a call from the phone.... but there's no audio

could you please fix usb debugging on next release?
another issue is that I can`t change governor from "performance" to "ondemand" or "userspace" with advanced settings for wear..
Maybe a root issue?
