Hi, can you please update app in play store? I have G950N, but in application "model not compatible"
As it tampers with system files I am most certain you can't. And I think it's even written in the description of the app.
Not sure if this is the right place. Is it possible to get raw images out of auto mode?

Because they need to compromise for file sizes, and reduce device heating. A higher bitrate and higher quality at high resolutions requires a lot of processing power. A "regular" consumer would complain about the files being "too large" and the device feeling "too hot".
Just flashed on my note 5 with "KHONGLOI-NOUGAT ROM " and everytime I try to run the camera it FC's with message Camera has stoped. Please help

Because KHONGLOI-NOUGAT ROM had S8 camera ported but older version with record limit
Try to replace with note 5 stock camera. If it's not working reflash the rom. ??

@zeroprobe How about making a flashable compatible with Khongloi S8 Port for Note 5 https://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/development/7-0-khongloi-nougat-rom-aod-edge-t3580620? S8 camera does work in his rom but a few edits may be needed to get your modded version to work. I'll gladly donate for the extended functionality if possible. I understand that snapdragon 835 may have more horsepower to be able to process but I"m hoping our Exynos 7420 can handle it.
If you ask them guys who did the port. It should work. I'm honestly swamped at the moment.
Perfectly working on khongloi s8+ port v4 for s7/s7e. Confirmed it by checking the time limits on 4k and 1080p60.

I think you should be on a s8 port since this is for s8 after all. Khongloi v4 s8 port is my current rom.
