It's just because of two reason

1. Google changed the partition type
2. Oxygen OS is messed up ( Not decrypting)

True to a certain point, if you want lots of custom roms and modules. find the phone for which is available and buy those. Gone are the days where there was one good high end, 1 good mid end and 1 good for modders. like when OPO came. man i've tried multiple roms in single day. Life changes, for the developers and for you.
