Lately when I've flashed a new ROM, I appear to have 2 storage areas: "0" and Internal SD card. The files that I flash to my phone always end up on the "0" partition. Where does the "0" drive come from, and can I just delete it?

Do not delete it! In Linux operating system terminology, drive 0 is where the system is stored.

If that is deleted, you could delete your phones firmware, application data files, system apps, and a lot more important things.

When things are flashed to the phone, drive 0 is where they are placed, which is the system.(your ROM is placed there)
