Hello, I'm thinking of continuing with this old wizard. So I'm thinking if buying a new extended battery. Can you people please share with me about your views? Zerolemon 10000 vs iBestwin 10000 vs TQTHL 11800? Please let me know which one will be the best option? Thanks in advance.

At the end of the day I do not think it is worth buying an extended battery for this phone anymore as I think the battery may outlast the phone or you will simply stop using it and switch to a newer phone.

If you are still willing to buy an extended battery then I definitely do not recommend zerolemon as they are so old meaning the battery will probably degrade very quickly, and very expensive nowadays due to the lack of availability.

I bought the iBestwin one and I'm pretty sure it's the same as the TQTHL with a different label, bought it from amazon. Battery calibration will be a problem and the best way is to flash a kernel with zerolemon support like flashpoint but I have been running stock kernel (I guess I am worried about bugs and things and just haven't bothered). Unless you will keep the battery in and do full charge/discharge cycles but to be honest it is not worth doing it this way because as soon as you remove it the battery the calibration will be lost.

I remember initially getting 10hr SOT over like 3 days and now I am not too sure. Bought it in October.

I actually bought a normal sized battery yesterday as I miss the light, slim (mainly slim) design of the phone and will probably switch to this when watching videos or something else that is battery consuming.

If you are considering this for gaming then I really do not recommend it, because gaming on this phone will shorten its lifespan due to the heat generated which contributes to the dreaded EMMC error that will render your device useless without replacing the motherboard.

Don't get me wrong, the note 4 is a beast and my favourite smartphone of all time. Unfortunately time has passed enough for us to say goodbye. I only got this in April 2018 and will continue to use it for hopefully at least a year.

It is time to give up on removable battery and IR blaster, would get OnePlus 7 but not 7 Pro because of moving camera part. I am still a teenager so won't be getting anything any time soon and I wish I got the note 4 earlier but I am still having a great time with it.

Good luck, also you will not want to have it chilling in your pocket since it is a big visible annoying bulge. Solution is to get those pouch bags even if it makes you look like a drug dealer:cool:

Oooh also very important it has NFC and works great but it won't fit in for example in the mcdonalds card reader when using Google pay or something, you know those big screens which are touchscreens where you can select what you want? Basically anything with plastic shielding the number pad to enter your pin.

The way to get around this at mcdonalds is to stand in que/line:( where you can use your device because you have to place it on the screen of the card reader. As long as you have access to the display part where the phone can actually touch it you should be fine. The other obvious workaround is to just use your card but I did not have one until recently.

Oh btw havoc os seems like a good rom, maybe even more stable than resurrection remix. Although if you won't the most stable experience and not care too much about the latest then stock rom is the way to go. I would have been on kitkat but many apps now require you to be at least on lollipop so I'm on marshmallow using a debloated stock rom

Here you go: https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...4-devbase-multi-csc-safe-bloat-t3033881/page1

That's the one I'm on now, I'm on devbase 4.6 though, latest one only has some security updates or something. I am tempted to try havoc os so may do that soon but now I'm testing modules which are meant to improve battery life and maintain good performance like FDE and LKT. Currently trying LKT since FDE seems to use turbo boost all the time so now I'm on LKT which seems alright so far.

Oh that was everything what i wanted to know. Sorry i replied late. Got busy with life.
I cannot tell you enough that how much i love this phone. Mainly because of its S pen and removable battery. My phone cam started having this focus issue from 2018 maybe. Still i was using it. I'm using this for 4 years now. 4 years! Bought this after my wedding on 2015. Sometimes i myself can't believe that I'm using this for so long. Oh i repaired my cam in Samsung service center a few months ago, but they screwed up my S pen sensor. Now i have ordered a new S pen sensor, will try to fix this. If they can fix it, maybe then I'll buy a new extended battery. I just can't justify spending another few hundred dollars when i have a phone which can do pretty much everything, the new phones can. But problem is the Snapdragon 805 can't keep up with the newest and latest Android versions. On Resurrection rom, sometimes it becomes unbearably and painfully slow and laggy. I thought a lot about replacing this with Asus ZenFone 6 or Redmi K20 pro, not OP7 though. But i really love this phone. I was thinking if i can continue with this after fixing the Spen sensor, then why not.. maybe I'll revert back to something stock, like the one you suggested. Stock roms are most stable, every time i flash newest roms, i end up going back to the stock ones. Have you tried the Apocalypse one? I looked into havoc. All the pie rooms have some bugs, i really hate it. Or maybe i can use Resurrection 5.8.5 Nougat, I've heard some good things about it, used it before, was stable. If you want to change the looks, you can try and keep that, if you want. Thanks for your reply.

No problem man I just happened to stumble upon your thread and after I replied I realised it was on the same day you posted!

I just tried havoc only for like an hour and it's good but made me really miss features on stock. Yes I remember I was initially going to flash apocalypse rom, this was like last year when "Migrate" came out. I tried to use that but it didn't work. Flashed the rom and tried migrate but didn't work? So I think that app does not work on note 4 stock rom, I think I tried on non touchwiz rom and it worked.

Anyway one thing is the developer of that rom, star53 if I remember correctly (lol no clue how I still remember, I guess I also remember this name: stang5litre who developed a galaxy s4 rom for verizon with locked bootloader) he created multiple roms and I think it would be a good idea to look at which one is the stablest which I imagine would be the latest? He did stop continuing one of his latest roms if I remember correctly?

I really like the two names of his roms I've seen, batman and apocalypse, I remember thinking what the difference was between them and it was the base. No clue tbh need to do more research on that.

I did mention that pie rom based on great feedback, however I found camera bug within 15 minutes lol.

Do you know what I hate the most about stock rom? No flashlight toggle, which sucks! Like how tf could you forget that?

I think you (and I) will enjoy the apocalypse one however it bugs me that I don't really know the difference between them all, like which is the most stable?!?

Definitely the hardware is starting to show it's age unfortunately, I wish I could just switch out the processor lol, that's what I kind of liked from the idea of a modular smartphone which I think google tried to do. Especially with the display but that was later built into frame and then project died : (

Wow this is a big messy post. Hopefully you can keep up:laugh:

Unfortunately I think it's time for a new phone which will not have a removable battery or IR blaster or even a headphone jack!

LG V10/V20/V30 are good from my research, too late to buy now though. So you should base your search on V30, I don't know about latest LG V phone though because I haven't researched that.

An extended battery has been a bit of a pain (can't lie) mainly battery calibration but then the fact that it is the size of a frcking brick gets you eventually especially if you have it chilling in your pocket.

Even a galaxy s8 but I don't know how annoying the fingerprint placement is and if you are looking for a tempered glass screen protector then that may be an issue (not only for curved screen on samsung).

It's pretty annoying how much a new flagship costs nowadays which is why you are looking at other less known brands. But I have not researched those yet so can't and won't comment on those until I do my homework:silly:
