All works fine ... exept an error on TWRP. But i can not set the weather. The widget shows only the date. I Cleared Google app, and Pixel launcher, but still have an date widget on screen ((:)rolleyes:
And i dont have Rounded Icons..... (On me Nexus 6p Android 8 DP3) --- screenshot --->
For the Round Icons, it looks like you set a different shapes all ready (The Rounded Square?). Make sure to set your icon shape in Pixel Launcher settings to System Default

Not all icons are round, boot animation and sounds ok, weather on Pixel launcher don't work (July 5)...
Night light ok !

I'm not sure why the weather is doing that. Mine did the same and I left it for about a day and it just showed up. It's like it takes a long time to gather your home location data and then gather the weather info. It should show up with time. My Pixel XL did the same thing when I flashed OPP3.

I solved it in the weather customization of the google app.

Looks like Yorllin may have found a quick solution to it instead of waiting. Did anyone else try this?

There's NO easy way in getting this I guess. Will give it a shot tonight.
Android O is definitely making it difficult :p If you want to try getting it that way, lemme know how it goes for you. I've seen it work with me and with another guy.

I'll also uploaded a Flashable Zip that uses the workaround if anybody wants an immediate and not 100% proper (Because it doesn't get the accent color the same way as the Pixel now does) accent color

The flashing-"error 7" seems to depend on whether the vendor partition is mounted in TWRP or not. (not mounted partition results in error).
But for me it only works if the error happens. If I mount the partition beforehand and flashing succeeds my device gets stuck on the initial Google-bootlogo. (testet by dirty-flashing over v2 and after fastboot flashing system/vendor imgs.)
But other than the weather bug it seems to work even though it gave me the error 7.

Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA Labs

Yea, I found the same. I manually mounted the vendor and added it to the script. Same thing, stuck at the splash screen. I had it work once, and I don't know why yet

Here you are )))

Thank you all for your answers. Everything worked. It was just as simple as usual to clear the data from Pixel Launcher and remove the updates to the Google App and then also clear the data. All ingenious is simple

Nice work! :)

May I ask, how did you end up modifying the framework and system-ui? Is APKTool working or did you have to compile from source or something?

APKTool can decompile, but can't compile yet. I used it to decompile when I was just looking for something. But to actually modify the APK's I used MTExplorer mentioned in this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/themes-apps/tutorial-modified-pixel-accent-color-t3609094. It doesn't fully decompile the APK, but it's able to modify most of the resources, without extracting or decompiling, needed to create the Pixel Mod and seemingly leave the original signature intact. I don't know if I can get the Nav Bar with this, but I'm trying to figure something intuitive out. MTExplorer has worked well other than that though

Can u tell that what variable or parameter affect round icon? cause i want a modified without round icon (original icon shape) by myself

It takes place in Framework-res.apk. I'm not sure if this is necessary, but it use to be and I do it for good measure. There's a bool line named something like "Config_UseRoundIcon". Change the value from "False" to "True".

The new thing is a new string. There's a string labeled "config_icon_mask" and the value is a big long code. The 6P and Pixel have different values, which makes sense being that they have different default Icons. Change the value to the same as Pixel to have round Icons (Also might need Pixel Icons app installed, I do also for good measure with this mod). For stock Icons, you return the value to stock.

The value for Round Icons is this:
M50 0C77.6 0 100 22.4 100 50C100 77.6 77.6 100 50 100C22.4 100 0 77.6 0 50C0 22.4 22.4 0 50 0Z

The value for Stock Icons is this:
M50,0L92,0C96.42,0 100,4.58 100 8L100,92C100, 96.42 96.42 100 92 100L8 100C4.58, 100 0 96.42 0 92L0 8 C 0 4.42 4.42 0 8 0L50 0Z

I used MTExplorer to modify the Resources.arsc

I can upload a mod with stock Icons if you want me to

Hi, I'm really impressed by your tutorial and I'm trying to make one for my N5X! :)

Should I put "," when I copy the value from the round icons you put in your comment? Or can I just copy & paste without "," but blank?

This is a continuation of my other Pixel Mod post. This is a pixel mod for OPP3.

    What's included:
    -Pixel Accent Color
    -Round Icons
    -Luthepa1's Black Boot Animation
    -Pixel Audio
    -Pixel Launcher
    -All Rotations (0, 90, 180, 270 degrees) Because I like it
    -Night Mode

    What's missing:
-DT2W - I enabled this and it was causing problem so it's a WIP
    -Nav Bar - Almost done

If anyone could test this out and let me if it's all working for them, that would be awesome. For some reason, Substratum was needed to (somehow magically) enable Device Theme in settings. That was key to some of the pixel mod. But I tested later and was able to work without it. For some reason, this seems to bring night mode too. But I wanted to release this to see if the accent color and Icons were working for everybody else. :good:

If you want to manually set the Pixel Accent Color (Find my comment below - It's extensive) that should work. However, if you want a workaround that's simple, flash this workaround https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298969440
That'll have the Accent Color just like V2 had

Great, I'm sure I'll wake up to a new mod, missed it a lot. Greet job mate. Keep it up.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/themes-apps/zip-android-o-dp4-pixel-mod-nexus-6p-t3641880 Updated Pixel Mod for DP4:good:

Anyone daring enough to try the last builds if this on OP4
Probably won't work on DP4. Should bootloop. I'm downloading DP4 now, and I'll have a mod up soon

Installed it, got a fail message in twrp when flashing but i got round icons (for icons that could already be changed in pixel launcher), night light and boot animation but no blue accent color or device theme option

    Great job btw !

Edit : Substratum installed, before flashing your mod i had the dt2w option under display settings but now it's gone

I believe that error message comes from trying to flash something into the vendor. The blue accent color actually comes from a theme similar to what you'd see in Substratum. It's interesting. Google placed the apk for the Pixel Theme in the vendor.img. For some reason, when trying to flash there I get an error message sometimes and sometimes not.

Thanks for the feedback. I turned off DT2W for this mod. I had the switch enabled but it was causing some issues when I was attempting to make it work. Thanks for the feedback
