Ahhh, in your case no, but for the port to evo we use it for use of data partition since our memory resources are limited.

Question - if someone had the test rom of honeycomb for flyer which can't be flashed on on a S-On device. Could this RUU be made into a CWM flashable zip?

here is a link to the rom extracted from the RUU. Nothing has been done to it, i.e. no root access yet or any other features. Bare-bone.

It just leaked a few days ago. Give it time and the devs will cook up some Honeycomb for our Flyer/View. Gotta love XDA.

No, they don't. At least I don't think so..... Puccini is faster (stock.) And runs a OS with more than 10,000 apps in the app store.... sorry webOS.

"@PaulOBrien HC on Flyer brings some real improvements to how the pen works too. HC MCR for Flyer coming up"

I see no real advantage of porting this ROM apart from the knowledge the dev's will learn from porting.

I talked with Paul via Twitter and he said he will release the Flyer ROM with Android 3.2 next week.
That means we will have FlyHigh ROM 2.0 soon

Great news for sure, but the Flyer crowd is getting restless. Of course it's still a good idea for the devs to tinker with Honeycomb and develop their own port variations. Can't wait to see what the next few weeks bring us!
