Like sommer said It's hard to catch it, One whole day I tried with logcat going and it never rebooted. Just now I noticed a 40 minute uptime (I had a reboot) This is the last_kmsg file 40 minutes after a reboot: http://pastebin.com/ZCM2UNTV

I have tried a few CM 12.1's built by you and had the reboots, this rom I am running now is validus 8 rom, build date was the 25th. Alx31TLse said something about CAF builds? I'm not sure if that post was directed at reboot problem tho..

random reboot problem

I don't have the random reboot problem .

But I remember an old Xperia I had to had the same problem reboots the stock ROM. It may be that reboots this ROM is not necessarily a problem of this ROM but a hardware problem already present on the device ;)

No, but I tried fresh installs after formatting everything. Get a log before reboot will be very proboematic :) who knows when it will happen...
Are you sure you have no reboots? Can you check your uptime? Mine was never more than 80-100 hours, then a reboot happened.
Plz flash back to stock rom and run it.
Then reinstall cm12.1 again. Wait for your report. Thanks.

Sony PC Companion can help

I also think a good idea to make a reflash of the last official ROM for ZL/ZQ. I even preferable to do so using the Sony PC Companion in the "support", there it will download the latest version direct from Sony and let your device reset. Use this ROM for a while and see if the reboots will stop if yes you can install the CM12 and see what happens, I particularly think that everything will be ok.

I never had any reboots neither on stock, nor on OmniROM for the 1+ years I used it. If some (many) people has it, but still some don't, maybe it's related to the operator/network-specific. Like rebooting only on 2G. I'm on 2G only (with EDGE), by the way.

Only clean install can't restore the original status of the device.
YOU NEED TO FLASH BACK TO THE STOCK.
Plz try and report it.

Anyone know how to change the Navbar height?
stock cm does not come with that feature.

@ Deep6182 Have you tried a stock rom as shufuking suggests to test? That is a nice log, I see a couple panics in there, I wonder why my last_kmsg file does not show any, and shows all those auto_hotplug: Onlining CPU lines.

I was thinking these reboots started happening late cm12 and into 12.1 - I don't think it happened in the earlier versions of cm12 can anyone confirm? I have heard some people mention it happening on other devices to, it is not just our phones.

As I read somewhere else CM12 does not accept TWRP as recovery anymore :( At least on xperias..
Is that right?

I'm using the TWRP285v4. Just flashed the img with Rashr app and it worked for me.

Random reboots

Seems like random reboots significantly decreased after I set "Battery saver threshold" to Never. Got just one after ful charge in 5 days.
It's located in Settings -> Battery -> click the three-dot button -> Battery saver threshold -> Never.

I assume that random reboots may be related to battery/charge threatment and correlstes with slow charging reported by many users. Also from all nightlies I've noticed that reboots happened mostly either during the charge, or when the battery is low (~15%) or when just charged.

Seems your observations are correct, After changes the settings to never, it works for two days..and i just got reboot this morning while charging exactly at 15%..Hope to see fixes soon
