Posts like these really make me curious what was typed in the first place :D
I originally did a build with the new camera fixes and it didn't work, but then I realized that I had extracted the proprietary files from the phone rather than use the files from https://github.com/TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_sony . For the camera to work I had to pull in the changes made to The Muppet's repo and make a clean build and it worked.

I had originally typed something to the effect of "Why don't the fixes work for the ZL..... :crying:"

FXP weeklies and cm nightlies are test releases
don't expect in this stage to be 100% functional and bugfree

i have FXP on my daily phone for mode than an month testing various things and improving
if you want to help us please fill found bugs on FXP bugtracker and please specify fxp release number of cm nightly release date (cm bugtracker can not be used for nigtlies)

thanks

remote control can be worked on cm ?
We are currently looking into the support of the RemoteControl Apps. To get you some idea:
1.) We try to make it running
2.) If it runs we look if we are statisfied
3.) If we needed prebuild stuff (like here IRRemote.apk and such) we need to ask @ Sony for permission

So we are in state 1 now. But from what i can tell you -> i personally prefer the ZL over the Z because of the IR, so when i have time (usually weekend) i continue research on IR again. Definatly it is our goal to get IR running, but most "problematic" state will be 3 -> because if there are legal issues then we will have problems with Sony .....
But first lets see. Please be patient, we will inform here on progress.

Regards

Good to hear from you man :good: Does your preference carry over to your ownership too? I mean do you have the Z or the ZL, thought it was the former :D

Its great to have you guys ditch Samsung for Sony btw.

That's right anirudh412! It's really awesome seeing so many recognized developers stopping by, giving some input and sharing their brilliant ROMs, apps, etc, with the rest of us (non developers)! It's incredible when I see so many great devs turning their backs on Samsung and switching over to Sony's top of the line Android smartphones... It's a dream come true to me, really. I can speak for myself, after being with a Samsung smartphone for over 2 years (SGS i9000, heck yeah! Thank you Pawitp and Stratosk) it was a pretty scary step forward, you know, getting a Xperia ZL without knowing if the rest of the devs would follow... I'm glad and relieved that I didn't ditch Samsung all by myself! Haha!

Questions directed to FXP or anyone else interested:

I'm currently running latest official CM 10.1 Nightly build (04/17/2013) on my ZL

1. Where do I report bugs? (bug tracker, I know, but I'm not that savvy...)

2. Why isn't there a specific thread for the official Xperia ZL CM 10.1 builds? Are you planning on merging FreeXperia Project and official CM 10.1 for the ZL into a single ROM?

3. I found this Changelog for Odin's CM 10.1 Nightly Builds, you might want to add that to your OP! ;)

Thank you for everything!!!!!!! :D

Cheers!

no nightly has bug tracker support for CM and thus for odin too you cannot use jira now.
bugtracker for FXP is in FXP'S signature. (code.google.com/p/freexperia)

also since FXP team maintains CM on Xperias this thread is as good as an official CM thread.

unofficial FXP builds will continue running forever. because thats the way it is. :)

the FXP team has more freedom in adding experimental changes to fix bugs in different parts of the source without thinking of if it breaks other devices. but code submissions on official CM tree doesnt go through as fast.

and lastly bbqdroid is not a changelog but merely a list of code changes in cm. ;)

Why not just copy it to your phone internal memory?
Sure I can do that, just did not know how easy it is to access and install files from internal storage via Recovery.. thanks

EDIT: Ok I see it's quite simple in CWM but pardon my ignorance, is FXP216 not released yet? I only see up to FXP215 on the CM 10.1 page... thanks
