this happens when you flash zui roms in zuk z1 , which is not preinstalled with ZUI. persist.mbn and rpm.mbn files are different in both the version. just flash cyanogen qfil rom..

download drivers:
http://www.androidbrick.com/download/qualcomm_diag_qd_loader_2016_qfil_driver/
http://www.androidbrick.com/downloa...one-usb-adb-qualcomm-diag-drivers-windows-10/

full guide and rom link is here:
http://www.androidbrick.com/lenovo-zuk-phones-qfil-roms-unbrick-guide/

after that unlock root and flash twrp recovery, and install lineageos or ressurection remix rom...fingerprint sensor will work definitely

I have the same issue.

It might be due to an installation of ZUI way back in time when i accidently bricked my phone. Guess the fingerprint isn't working anymore till then (it worked before for sure on Lineage OS 14.1).

What I tried so far:

1) I installed the firmware file from AOSP-Extended from https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/orig-development/rom-aospextended-rom-v5-0-t3720542 and AOSP-Extended Oreo. But the fingerprint didn't work.

2) I installed then AOSP-Extedend Pie but no different result.

3) I used QFIL to install cm-12.1-YOG4PAS3AJ-ham-20151021-qpst from here http://lenovo-forums.ru/topic/19190-zuk-z1-qpst-cm-121-yog4pas3aj-ham-signed-factory-e66b382c5e/ becuase the link provided on site 1 links to androidbrick where the link to the rom doesnt work anymore. Unfortunately QFIL didn't solve the issue.

4) Then I tried flashing Lineage OS 14.1 and flashing the ham-mm-firmware from here https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=817906626617950254 which didn't work too.

5) I used QFIL to install Z1_CN_OPEN_USER_Q4275709.1_L_ZUI_0.9.084_ST_150729_qpst from here https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347826528 but the fingerprint couldn't be configured there too.

6) I tried installing ZUI_1.6.384_ST_160518_qpst from here http://lenovo-forums.ru/topic/19189-zuk-z1-qpst-z1_cn_open_user_q44301_m_zui_16384_st_160518/ but sadly the result was the same.

7) I tried using restor-capacitive-button from here https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087009655 and again no change.

Im pretty sure it's not a hardware defect because I really don't know how that should have happened.

Is there anything else I could do?
