http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS990-SPRINT/LS990ZV9.rdf

I looked a few days ago, and the latest was still ZV8 at http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS990-SPRINT/latest I just looked, and there is a ZV9 listed! Funny thing is they never updated the android version on either ZV8 or this new ZV9 so it still shows 4.4.2. The only thing other than the build number that i noticed different is DSSClientVersionSZ_5.4.01. That was version 5.2.00 on all previous builds.

This is the first sign of life from sprint for our phone in quite a while. ZV8's RDF posted pretty close to when it was actually released, but there was zv7 which never came out, as well as zv5. So, who knows. maybe they will wait for another even number build version, or maybe we get an update soon! :)

Do you think that they are testing updates? Why is the build number changing? Also might this be android 5.1 or maybe even android M?

RDF's are generally test builds. Didn't the international g3 receive an update recently that was still 5.0.1? Generally we receive updates after the international version gets their update, and then Sprint tests them before sending them out. I highly doubt we would get a newer build than them.

Look at it this way.... It took LG like 7 months to announce 5.0.1 so if it is a new android version I think it might show up on the LG dev page (that way we can build it like we did with L). I'll tell you this much I will make sure to use the next update as a base in my ROM ;)

Nexus's only received 5.0.1 in December, and we received it in February(about 2 and a half months later) Not very long of a wait if you compare it to Sprint/Samsung phones of the past. Sprint used to be notorious at having like 50 rdf's posted before releasing an update.

Idk I am new to this phone.... To be honest when it comes out I am going to get the Nexus 5 2015 edition by LG.

Did you catch what the build number was? If you did, you can go to the Nexus Images page and try to match them up.
Sprints RDF's only show the android version, and the LG software number, which the current one is ZVA. The android version has not been updated at all since the first build, so it still shows 4.4.2 even though zv8 was 5.0.1

There's another thing that everyone missed. The AndroidJVM shows Dalvik instead of ART.

They haven't changed anything in the RDF's except those 2 things I mentioned in the first post since zv1, I think.

FYI, RDF's are much more legible on Internet Explorer. As much as i hate IE, it does make them easy to read. :-/

I didn't know about IE actually being helpful for something. Only problem with running Dalvik on Lollipop, is that Dalvik was replaced with ART in the upgrade.

Maybe they are just auto generated..... They only change those two values rather then the whole thing.

I think they are. I'm not sure what the information even pertains to, I know the phone has the rdf for the current version in either the build.prop or somewhere that looks for the software number, but not really sure what generates it or uses it.
