DO NOT flash a firmware build for a different model number. Period. (Model numbers are in bold)
If you have the correct model number but a different region, you should be fine if you perform a factory reset first. Obviously this will erase any and all app data, settings, ringtones, etc. which is why you should always make backups first.

  • These are official firmware builds.
  • I do not have any control when they are released. I add them to this thread as quick as I can when they are.
  • If you don't see your model number here, it might just be because lollipop hasn't been released for your model yet.
  • If it has and I'm still missing it, please private message me instead of cluttering up this thread. I might already be downloading it anyway.
  • Do NOT flash a firmware for a different model number than your tablet. Thermonuclear warfare will break out and your dog will eat your homework. But really just be patient for your model's update to be released
  • I am not going to help you root Lollipop
  • If you have a locked bootloader (Verizon or AT&T branded models), I can almost guarantee you will not be able to root on this firmware, at least for the time being. Get someone better than me to make you a FlashFire keep root update, assuming you're already able to root KitKat
  • African swallows might've been able to carry the coconut by the husk, but they're not migratory

If you ignore these, if you whine that lollipop isn't out for your variant yet, if you complain that I don't care enough about your specific model, if you think there is a loophole that lets you flash the wrong firmware build, I won't be mature and just ignore you. I'm going to respond with snark and sarcasm and get everyone to point and laugh at you for being the n00b you are. Cheers!

I'm not whining about Lollipop not being out for the 8" model of the tablet yet (even though that does suck!) but would you please keep a lookout for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T330NU for me? That's the one that I need. I've wanted to try Lollipop on my tablet but haven't gotten around to rooting my tablet and downloading a custom ROM for it yet.

I will gladly keep an eye out for it. Even though I do not have your particular tablet model, I completely understand the desire to try out the latest version. I have samsung-updates, sammobile, and mrcrab open and am refreshing regularly lol. I won't let new updates go unnoticed for too long.

This is probably insignificant but anyone else notice Samsung is releasing 5.0.1 for phones and 5.0.2 for tablets? I wonder if there's any reason for that or if it even really matters

Downloading from sammobile as we speak. I have the SM-T535 which has great battery life. Hoping this update doesn't break what is already working so good. Doing my TWRP backup just in case. Worst case i get an updated modem and restore back.

Lol these download links are infinitely faster than sammobile unless you coughed up and paid for premium download speeds, but I'm glad everything worked out fine for you, and you're already rooted. :good:

Rooted and TWRP'd. Had no issues. I did a full wipe before ODIN'ing too. All my apps are installed and everything works good. Def a nice update so far. Only time will tell though.

You should always do a factory reset before flashing Odin if you have another region, just know that Odin flashing will sometimes irreversibly delete anything and everything you have saved in your internal storage, thus the importance of backing up one's data.
Thx ,mate, bcz rapigator is very slow ;)
