home key

Hello... I do not remember what I did. Now if I hit the home button instead accessing to the home, Google Now opens. I do not know how to reset the home key to original function. Help please

I keep accidentally pressing the Home key when typing a message, and I would like to find a way to move the keyboard up on the screen just a bit to avoid this. Or to disable the home key when keyboard is up, either way. I am open to third-party keyboards, but I don't want Swipe-style.

Wow! Double-tapping the home key brings up the desktop screens. I discovered that by stuttering my key press. Neat-o! Is there a list somewhere to learn about any other of these hidden gems? I was impressed with the holding the home key, but this is way cool. :)
