Unfortunately, it's been proven time and again that Samsung support has no clue. Tmobile has not pushed it yet, to anyone. The site still says "testing" and there's no confirmation by anyone that it has been pushed to their device.

When you see the Tmobile Note 8 forums suddenly have 100 new posts, you'll know it's here lol
That's because many people like me moved on to other rootable devices, in my case a Pixel 3XL. I still wish this phone could get root, specially on Pie.

How do you trigger that? When I use smart switch it's looking for another device.
also on top right hand corner click on more hit preferences and check there, but once u plug in your note 8 it should say update.

This IS the point. Regardless of who is doing the testing, the freaking phone doesn't get the update. The Note 7 FE version got it already and we are still waiting. The Note 8 was a flagship a year ago. Updates should come in a month or two, not a year's time regardless of who is testing it. Both TMO and Samsung need to respond faster. Not a problem on my Pixel 3Xl since TMO doesn't need to "test it".
