Reading through many threads I have come across people wanting to format their SD Card FAT32 but are having issues.
This is especially true for people upgrading their G3s to Lollipop. Most if not *all 5.0 releases in their various forms seem to like to see SD cards formatted with the FAT32 file system.
The more advanced members here have very little issue accomplishing this through TWRP or other means.
Please don't jump all over me saying it can and should be done this or that way. I know there are many effective ways of formatting your SD Card to FAT32 this without the use of a computer. I am also aware of the limitations of the file system.
For the other people who are having issue getting there SD cards formatted to FAT32 and don't mind using their PC for formatting.
I have used this very small, executable formatting utility Guiformat FAT32 on just about every modern Windows OS and it is pretty much fool proof.
That is unless some fool forgets to back-up his SD Card before formatting it!
From my 11/19 post in another thread:
I have had good luck with the 64bit version of guiformat FAT32 Format I never tried the 32bit version inspite of the developers note*
64bit version http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/guiformat-x64.Exe
32bit version http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/guiformat.exe
"There is an x64 build of Guiformat here. *However the x86 build works fine on both x86 and x64 and you should use that."
*Verification needed... I may be wrong but this has been my experience.
